West Brom vs Saints - Match Thread

I said "much faster", as I know it is possible to improve a bit, but most players have pace from a young age - I can't think of many who developed it in their twenties (admittedly Lallana did improve, but he didn't play in a way that you saw his straight line speed a lot). I hope I'm wrong, but that through ball does seem to cause him problems at the moment.

And as I was reading that, he cut out a through ball. Haha.

Ooh, nearly a goal - JRod looking good.

Ha, think I know the one you mean. Although cutting them out is not his problem, is catching them when they're played in behind!

J Rod should score there. Tadic looking most likely to create, as usual.

Midfield just not working . Davis bombs forward but you can see him panic within 20 yards of their area . Has zero vision or creative ability . Prowse is completely hopeless again .

What does Koeman see that we don't?

The training pitch. Maybe they're better when training, then don't reproduce it on match days?

HT 0-0

think we have been good on the ball. Certainly no hoofing it.

BUT, offered little in attack, Jrod should have scored mind

we seems to have a style a little like a rugby side. move up by passing it sideways/back

Then again, they are defending pretty deep

can see Mane and berahino in this game soon

We!!....I think he's a good player, but hey ho, let's carry on slagging our young players off, let's not give them a chance to mature, all the rest of those out there were brilliant at the age of 19.....I think not!

I don't think the Davis/Ward-Prowse duo is very effective - for me it's either/or, definitely not both. I'd be inclined to pull one of them for Romeu, whose passing has been impressive.

Mané could create some havoc against a fairly ponderous back four - him on the right,Tadic on the left.

But that involves a lot of changes. I really like Koeman but some of his starting line-ups have been head-scratchers.
