Looked far too uncontrolled in the tackle, pen or not.

Rarely thinks about what he's doing in attack or defense, when he's attacking he always plays the ball far too early every single time.

Stonewall pen.

Looked it but actually, incredibly, there was no contact and it was actually a dive. How the ref has called that right is obscene.

Dived in, both feet off the ground - that should be minimum yellow...

... and they've decided to show a repeat of MT's 'penalty' challenge. Pfft!

No matter how much experience Targett gets, I'm not sure he's going to get much faster, and that is one of his biggest weaknesses at the moment. Lots of sides will target that and use their quick wingers (most sides have them) against him.

What do you base that opinion on? I'm pretty sure medical science doesn't agree that males peak physically at 19, never to improve.

That a joke? Got absolutely taken out.

And yet was fine moments later. Didn't need to stay down and then hobble about all over the place - even Cedric and Ward-Prowse were trying to get him to stop.

I said "much faster", as I know it is possible to improve a bit, but most players have pace from a young age - I can't think of many who developed it in their twenties (admittedly Lallana did improve, but he didn't play in a way that you saw his straight line speed a lot). I hope I'm wrong, but that through ball does seem to cause him problems at the moment.

It's strange to me that Koeman talks up JWP in CM then next game puts Davis back there (who is awful there) and puts JWP further forward again (where he's struggled to make an impact).
