Anyone travelled on Eurostar recently?

To cut a long story short, Eurostar refuse to change the name on their tickets. Has anyone travelled with them in the last few weeks and can confirm that at no point they cross reference passport names with the names on the tickets? When I last travelled with them about six years ago I'm certain you simply scanned the ticket's barcode and then showed your passport to French police?

Yep, went a few weeks ago. I am pretty sure the tickets were scanned and we just showed our passports to the people on border control.

Used it in February boarding at Ashford. Definitely showed passports AND tickets to both the English border official then the French one 10 yards further on before being allowed into station. Couldn't say how much attention they paid to the name on the tickets but both requested them. Can't remember what happened coming back but with the current migrant crises I would hope they'd be even more thorough than usual.

We had the tickets in our passports but the guy didn't look at the tickets, just the passports.
