Whitey Grandad Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Hopefully Davo leading us to the finals tonight. Against the team bottom of the group. Having scored only 2 goals. And been turned over by the Faroes twice. What could possibly go wrong? Davo has just done very well!
Lazlo78 Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Apologies if it's posted elsewhere, but Cedric is playing for Portugal tonight and it's on ITV4 as I type. Denmark is being murdered - we won't last 90 minutes like this
david in sweden Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 it had to happen .....Steven Davis scores......N.I. lead 1-0
VectisSaint Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 it had to happen .....Steven Davis scores......N.I. lead 1-0 Faroes winning as well, looking good but long way to go.
Tom28 Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 What a goal from Matt Richie. Worth a punt when Bournemouth go down?
Whitey Grandad Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 ...and another brilliant header from Davis. I always felt that once he scored his next goal he'd go on a run
VectisSaint Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Wow!! Davis!!! 3-0 Incredible goal. 3 in a week.
UpweySaint Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Wow!! Davis!!! 3-0 Was about to say pretty much this! So happy for Davis and N. Ireland as a whole, bring on the France!
Lord Duckhunter Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Made up for Steve , fantastic pro . Great story , as someone who remembers Spain 82 & Mexico 86 it's brilliant they're back in a major tournament , and with a saint leading them .

angelman Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sIQYMUrYeA Shane Long scores vs Germany
John Cool Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sIQYMUrYeA Shane Long scores vs Germany That's what I call route one!
angelman Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 That's what I call route one! At least he took a touch before pulling the trigger, albeit his typical mis-control with his shin.
Lazlo78 Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 We've signed Moutinho!? Maybe we interpret "beating" differently?

rallyboy Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 What a great night for Davis! What a great week for him!! Excellent.
Colinjb Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Maybe we interpret "beating" differently? Just being cheeky mate.
jawillwill Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Incredible goal. 3 in a week. Tonight, v Chelsea and what's the third?
5string Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Tonight, v Chelsea and what's the third? 2 tonight. 1st & 3rd for NI.
adrian lord Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Much more fun than watching England. quite. Passion, pride and honesty. Instead of insouciant arrogance and clumsiness.
Colinjb Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 quite. Passion, pride and honesty. Instead of insouciant arrogance and clumsiness. Tomorrow will be a treat!
Chalkboy Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 insouciant arrogance and clumsiness. Should be printed on their shirts.
SaintTex Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Cedric and Fonte play for Portugal v. Denmark - clean sheet.
stknowle Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 At least he took a touch before pulling the trigger, albeit his typical mis-control with his shin. Yep, commentators were praising him for his composure. Hmm. Anyway who cares - well done Shane.
redder freak Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Imagine if Shane Long and Steven Davis were in the same Irish team!
Coxford_lou Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Wow Steven Davis! (Though I do feel a bit sorry for Greece as they've had such a hard time of it lately).
Le Timmier Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 What a goal from Matt Richie. Worth a punt when Bournemouth go down? I think Bournemouth deserve more respect than that
SNSUN Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Great nights for Saints players, especially captain fantastic Davis. Bang in form.
Baird of the land Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Thank you Chelsea for breaking Davis' duck and giving him his confidence back in front of goal. Hopefully the floodgates will truly open now.
davefizzy14 Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Thank you Chelsea for breaking Davis' duck and giving him his confidence back in front of goal. Hopefully the floodgates will truly open now. Totally agree with this Baird of the Land. It was just a matter of time before Davis was going to get a goal. He always gets in to good positions. Hopefully the start of more goals for him!!! So pleased for him, Shane & Jose.
CWD Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Wow great night for our Irish boys! Well done chaps
5string Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 Totally agree with this Baird of the Land. It was just a matter of time before Davis was going to get a goal. He always gets in to good positions. Hopefully the start of more goals for him!!! So pleased for him, Shane & Jose. ... and Cedric!
CWD Posted 8 October, 2015 Posted 8 October, 2015 What a goal from Matt Richie. Worth a punt when Bournemouth go down? I know the Ritchie family and I would be very surprised if Matt ever played for us. He bloody loves Pompey.
bazza Posted 9 October, 2015 Posted 9 October, 2015 Tonight's the first time in a bar in the UK that I've ordered "two of whatever you've got left please"! lol
whelk Posted 9 October, 2015 Posted 9 October, 2015 I know the Ritchie family and I would be very surprised if Matt ever played for us. He bloody loves Pompey. Quite funny that they never loved him and let him go.
andoru Posted 9 October, 2015 Posted 9 October, 2015 Great to see Davis and Long being the heroes for their teams, and that NI have confirmed their spot. Wales are all but guaranteed to be there and RoI have their fate in their own hands now, thanks to Shane. It's only Scotland that's let the British Isles down.
