trousers Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 Been a while since there were no Saints players in the squad. 4 ex Saints players though.
Katalinic Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 Frankly I'm relieved. Pretty uninspiring 22 however.
nta786 Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 Funny how there is only 2 Liverpool players in there... Apart from Vardy and Shelvey/the two GKs and two Everton players- all come from the coveted top 6 now...
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 There is a serious lack of quality English players a the moment looking at that squad. Average and zero chance of winning the Euros.
doddisalegend Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 No Saints players...... GOOD! This^^ Really couldn't give a flying **** about international football these days. England are boring and turgid to watch and constantly try to pass off the likes of Rooney and Wilshire as world class when in truth the only world class players in the English PL are foreigners.
Crab Lungs Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 No Henderson? That means we'll be miles better off when we play. Bloke is absolute sh1te.
DuncanRG Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 That's not a bad side but there's not an awful lot of star quality, no. Shaw, Stones, Smalling, Clyne could be a good back line for a few years in future if Smalling keeps improving as he has done recently.
angelman Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 Who wants to bet that Clyne starts both games????
Lighthouse Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 Just 2 goals in 16 games in all comps for Kane now, since scoring on his England debut. In the same period Rooney has only scored against Bruges, Slovenia and that sh*t Villa team we put 6 past. Not exactly Shearer and Linekar is it.
Chalkboy Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 Who wants to bet that Clyne starts both games???? I guess he will as there isn't another RB in the squad. No Walker, no Phil Jones....am I mistaken?
Lighthouse Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 I guess he will as there isn't another RB in the squad. No Walker, no Phil Jones....am I mistaken? I am pretty surprised Chambers hasn't been selected as playing absolute dog sh*t doesn't seem to matter these days.
Julian H. Cope Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 Gibbs has been excellent so far this season....
Brave Sir Robin Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 This^^ Really couldn't give a flying **** about international football these days. England are boring and turgid to watch and constantly try to pass off the likes of Rooney and Wilshire as world class when in truth the only world class players in the English PL are foreigners. Exactly how I feel about it. Not to mention the England squad get togethers nowadays doubling up as a golden opportunity for tapping up players who aren't already at one of the top 6 clubs. Couple that with all the scandal surrounding FIFA, and I personally find myself wishing the FA would not only boycott the world cup, but disband the England team altogether and concentrate on supporting the domestic game at grass roots level.
Chalkboy Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 How many games has Delph played this season exactly?
radio slave Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 I've just finished rubbing my Nivea in before bed. I think I must have some in my eyes & not seeing straight...where's Lallana?

Golden Balls Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 Bertrand and Forster will be in there when fit. I do miss our English core we had under Poch. Shaw, Lambert, Clyne, Lallana, Lambert, JRod, Puncheon and Cork. For some reason I felt more of a connection and more pride to that team.

Don't forget Chambers, Ward-Prowse and occasionally Gallagher as well. We may have four Englishmen starting towards the end of the season, though (Forster, Bertrand, JWP, Rodriguez)
Mr Biscuits Posted 30 August, 2015 Posted 30 August, 2015 I couldn't give a stuff about England. And I won't until there is a manager who has the balls to pick players outside the top 6 clubs. And who doesn't pick players who spend most of their time sitting on the bench. Oh and a manager who actually takes risks.

igsey Posted 1 September, 2015 Posted 1 September, 2015 Delph and Mason have done nothing apart from play for big clubs (I use the term play loosely for Delph). Still not sure what Cork has to do to get in, he's been excellent since he moved to Swansea and I still maintain he is the type of player England are missing. Bet the Liverpool fans aren't too happy though! Sent from my SGP511 using Tapatalk
alpine_saint Posted 1 September, 2015 Posted 1 September, 2015 No Saints players...... GOOD! Yep. If they are not there, they cant be tapped up. Bit annoying that Woy has completed his task though; its not as if they will play any better now they are no longer Saints. Bet Clyne is a shoe-in for #1 RB now.
sadoldgit Posted 1 September, 2015 Posted 1 September, 2015 There is a serious lack of quality English players a the moment looking at that squad. Average and zero chance of winning the Euros. I agree. The lack of young exciting English talent is really disappointing. The number of imports in the Premiership doesn't help. Nor does the ridiculous fees requested for English players.
