spyinthesky Posted 18 January, 2021 Posted 18 January, 2021 Is there a recall for Slattery in view of Smallbones injury?

Smirking_Saint Posted 21 January, 2021 Posted 21 January, 2021 So what is up with Salisu now ? He has been on the bench a few times... but now it is long term ?

kjurwi Posted 22 January, 2021 Posted 22 January, 2021 Does anybody know why Walcott wasn't in the squad against Shrewsbury. Hope he isn't injured.

DT Posted 22 January, 2021 Posted 22 January, 2021 Great piece on Jannik and our tactics too: https://theathletic.com/2329997/2021/01/22/vestergaard-interview-southampton-hasenhuttl/

More posts like this Chris and you'll on your way out. 1

What would have been an innocuous muscle problem pre Covid now becomes potentially a longer term issue as with Romeu etc.
Jeremy Posted 25 January, 2021 Posted 25 January, 2021 I appreciate footballers get some really bad injuries, like the one noted earlier in this thread, but sometimes I have to wonder if they generally are a bit soft. Admittedly I can only speak from my own experience in rugby, but often we got some bad knocks during a game and tried run them off. A broken nose was nothing. Then there were some crazy extremes like this if anybody's interested: https://www.theversed.com/10170/his-scrotum-burst-open-and-he-still-refused-to-leave-the-field/#.P2wbdUk9Tw Having said that, I played a couple of seasons of football after I finished rugby and remember the aching legs I had sometimes after a match that never happened before.

Partly this is due to the extreme value of the players and the possible long term ramifications that can happen when people play when carrying an injury. For example Walker Peters might turn around and say he wants to play but the club would never let him because of the risk the injury will be aggravated and they'll end up missing 5 games instead of one.
SaintTex Posted 26 January, 2021 Posted 26 January, 2021 https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php we have 10 players out, most in the league. 1

Shroppie Posted 1 February, 2021 Posted 1 February, 2021 Reported that KWP is not as bad as feared. Ready to resume training. 3

Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 I'm starting a book on who the next injury / suspension will be. We're bound to lose another player or two at OT tonight.

Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 2 February, 2021 Posted 2 February, 2021 (edited) Bednarek too. I had a sneaky feeling that he'd walk tonight. On a positive note I put £5 on Utd to score more goals in the second half at 9/1. Edited 2 February, 2021 by Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd

Shance Posted 6 February, 2021 Posted 6 February, 2021 Fucking hell. Salisu is back in full training!! 1
Shance Posted 10 February, 2021 Posted 10 February, 2021 Apparently Salisu might be starting against Wolves. I can't believe what I'm hearing. lol 1
goodymatt Posted 11 February, 2021 Posted 11 February, 2021 Our injury worries are looking better, only Theo and Diallo who would potentially be starters unavailable. Alongside long term injuries to Obafemi and Smallbone.
Harry_SFC Posted 14 February, 2021 Posted 14 February, 2021 KWP has done his hamstring and will be out for a while. Excellent. The amount of hamstring injuries we've suffered this season is absolutely crazy. 1
