SKD Posted 14 November, 2016 Posted 14 November, 2016 Puel doesn't seem to think he's good enough to start for us, so not the biggest problem. Would love to see him starting Sat though instead of Clasie. Has he not started every EL & Cup game? Has nothing to do with him being good enough, that's just how rotation works. Only player who hasn't been rotated is Romeu and that's only because we don't have anyone else to fill this position.
simo Posted 14 November, 2016 Posted 14 November, 2016 Tremendous international break for us so far with Forster / Bertrand / Tadic / Hojbjerg injured. Just a chance to showcase our Academy players again !
Wimborne_saint Posted 15 November, 2016 Posted 15 November, 2016 Bertrand on the bench for england tonight so injury can't have been bad
beatlesaint Posted 15 November, 2016 Posted 15 November, 2016 Bertrand on the bench for england tonight so injury can't have been bad lets hope he stays sat on the bench !
SuperSAINT Posted 20 November, 2016 Posted 20 November, 2016 Tadic & JWP to be assessed Monday in regards to their chances of of being fit for Prague.
WinchesterSaint Posted 20 November, 2016 Posted 20 November, 2016 Tadic was due to play yesterday but apparently the mask he was going to wear was not approved by the ref. I'd have thought these things were standard but perhaps not. This came from a decent source.

lickierambert Posted 21 November, 2016 Posted 21 November, 2016 Mask permitting, I think Tadic will play on Thursday.
S-Clarke Posted 21 November, 2016 Posted 21 November, 2016 Think we're close to a fully fit squad now aren't we? Only Targett seems to be dragging, the rest are all back or will be back within the next week. If you count Gardos as well, he's not injured now and is just building fitness.

I would like to see Hesketh back to play in the EFL - not sure how long he is out for Also I think Targett is behind Mcqueen in the LB queue
Pass the Dutchie Posted 21 November, 2016 Posted 21 November, 2016 Just Pied. But that'll be a while.
S-Clarke Posted 21 November, 2016 Posted 21 November, 2016 Just Pied. But that'll be a while. Forgot all about him!

With our 9 games in 30 days, we've timed it quite well. Fingers crossed we can keep them all fit.

svetac Posted 22 November, 2016 Posted 22 November, 2016 The mask can´t help too much. Tadic is going to have a nose surgery.
trousers Posted 22 November, 2016 Posted 22 November, 2016 Probably nothing in this (but thought it might be worth a mention), but Boufal was supposed to attending a calendar signing session with Redmond at the West Quay store later this afternoon, but the club announced a "late change" this morning and Targett is now going to be there instead of Boufal. A simple change of mind by the club and/or Boufal, or something else up? All conspiracy theories welcome

Can't have him butting supporters at a PR event, too.

svetac Posted 29 November, 2016 Posted 29 November, 2016 Tadic spent 5 days in hospital. He expects his first training session to be on thursday.

SuperSAINT Posted 30 November, 2016 Posted 30 November, 2016 Chris Wise @chriswisey #saintsfc boss Claude Puel tells me that Dusan Tadic can't train at present because nose injury is too painful. He broke it in two places.

spyinthesky Posted 2 December, 2016 Posted 2 December, 2016 We've signed Kemosabe I wonder how many people on here remember Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels?
suewhistle Posted 2 December, 2016 Posted 2 December, 2016 He's been to the Venice Carnival for his hols..

spyinthesky Posted 2 December, 2016 Posted 2 December, 2016 T'was Tonto's horse was a 'Pinto' called 'Scout'
derry Posted 2 December, 2016 Posted 2 December, 2016 I see Marcus Barnes is back playing for the U23s after a long lay off also back amongst the goals. Looked a talent before he was injured.

Saint Albert Posted 3 December, 2016 Posted 3 December, 2016 After watching the wonderful Palace game I thought that I'd watch the Swansea v Spurs game on my PVR. After about five minutes Neil Taylor applied all of his studs to Kyle Walker's face. Tadic will be able to sympathize but according to the commentators Neil Taylor is not that kind of player. Go figure.
Mallagroth Posted 9 December, 2016 Posted 9 December, 2016 Anyone know what's up with Boufal? Done a runner. They are trying to activate his GPS but it appears he may have cut it out somewhere on the way to China.

SuperSAINT Posted 10 December, 2016 Posted 10 December, 2016 @Mattytargett: Operation went well! Now on the road to recovery!! I will be back stronger ?
S-Clarke Posted 10 December, 2016 Posted 10 December, 2016 What is actually up with Targett anyway? Has it ever been announced? If he's just had an op, safe to assume it was a bad one and he's still facing a decent length of time out. Why don't the club tell us stuff like this? (unless i've missed, then apologies..)
VectisSaint Posted 10 December, 2016 Posted 10 December, 2016 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/14956722.Charlie_Austin___timeline_of_his_worrying_shoulder_injuries/?ref=rss Hoddle was saying on TV after the EL game on Thursday that Charlie was always strapped up around both shoulders when they were at Rangers.Seems odd in some ways that we took him with such persistent problems.

According to Physioroom.com it's a hamstring. Must be severe if an op is required.

When the HITC website said that McQueen was close to signing a new deal at Saints (just before he did) - they also mentioned in the same article that Targett had faced a big setback in his injury comeback. Looks like they were spot-on with that one too.
