Saints foreva Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 palace look excellent But apparently we have no reason to envy what they've done in the transfer window.

Lighthouse Posted 29 August, 2015 Author Posted 29 August, 2015 8 minutes for West Ham to hold on at... oh hang on, never mind.
holepuncture Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Noticed that Billy Sharp is sticking them in the back of the net for our Nige at the Blades. Just made it 0-2 at Swindon Nigel Craig Mackill Smith, former £3m man, scored for Luton earlier vs skates! Liverpool 0-3 West Ham!
Lighthouse Posted 29 August, 2015 Author Posted 29 August, 2015 A few accumulators ruined this afternoon. A Good day for the bookies.

nta786 Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 37 Prem games so far, only 7 home wins. Mental. a win tomorrow and we could go top half of table!
Suhari Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 A few accumulators ruined this afternoon. A Good day for the bookies. Mines one of them. Massive meltdown on the Scouse forums tonight I bet!

angelman Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Not sure WHU are going to win the fair play league this year!!!!
Chalkboy Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Couple more results like that and Brendan will be gone I reckon.
angelman Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Couple more results like that and Brendan will be gone I reckon. Hopefully Lolvren can speed on his demise.
Batman Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Couple more results like that and Brendan will be gone I reckon. just think, the winner they got at home to bounemouth was an utter disgrace
BotleySaint Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Not sure WHU are going to win the fair play league this year!!!! 10 matches this season. 6 sendings off
BotleySaint Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 No idea what's up with Chelsea, weird. Mourinho has disappeared up his own backside again. That's what.
Chalkboy Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Hopefully Lolvren can speed on his demise. He was class today Thought Cyne looked pretty ordinary too.
S-Clarke Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Liverpool's next 7 premier league games. *cough* Man Utd v Liverpool Sat 12 Sep 17:30 Liverpool v Norwich Sun 20 Sep 16:00 Liverpool v Aston Villa Sat 26 Sep 15:00 Everton v Liverpool Sun 4 Oct 13:30 Tottenham v Liverpool Sat 17 Oct 12:45 Liverpool v Southampton Sun 25 Oct 16:15 Chelsea v Liverpool Sat 31 Oct 12:45
Chalkboy Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 just think, the winner they got at home to bounemouth was an utter disgrace Yep an utter disgrace...and against Stoke they were lucky, saved by a great strike from Coutinho.
Batman Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Yep an utter disgrace...and against Stoke they were lucky, saved by a great strike from Coutinho. they were very good in the 1st half at arsenal, but even then, ramsey was onside....
SaintTex Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 generally good results today.. with a win tomorrow, we could crack Top 10 then again, if we lose...18th
max_saints Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 37 Prem games so far, only 7 home wins. Mental. a win tomorrow and we could go top half of table! But we're at home...
Matthew Le God Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 generally good results today.. with a win tomorrow, we could crack Top 10 then again, if we lose...18th If we lose, its possible for us to be 20th.
mrfahaji Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 generally good results today.. with a win tomorrow, we could crack Top 10 then again, if we lose...18th I think you mean 20th (bottom)?
Turkish Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Couple more results like that and Brendan will be gone I reckon. That's the problem. With Rodgers in charge they'll hover around 5th or 6th, threaten to challenge the top 4 but never really do it. If they got a decent manager in, like Klopp who wants the job, there is a good chance they might actually achieve something.
adrian lord Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Delighted at Liverpool losing, Brenda's days are numbered. Typical Mourinho blaming ref for his latest failure
S-Clarke Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Lol @ Rogers post match interview. He's cringeworthy.
Lighthouse Posted 29 August, 2015 Author Posted 29 August, 2015 Lol @ Rogers post match interview. He's cringeworthy. Did he just say, "we slept about a bit in the first half."?
Lord Duckhunter Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Brenda claiming on sky that the team " that only wanted to defend" somehow won . Lol 3-0 , lucky they didn't want to attack otherwise it could have been 6
Saint_Tony Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 At least it won't be just this board having a meltdown this weekend. Very strange results but makes the league far more exciting. A win tomorrow and we will be looking ok Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
Verbal Kint Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 That's the problem. With Rodgers in charge they'll hover around 5th or 6th, threaten to challenge the top 4 but never really do it. If they got a decent manager in, like Klopp who wants the job, there is a good chance they might actually achieve something. I'm not convinced they'll make the top 6 u less they get Sturridge back and keep him fit. Looking through their team it just looks average, but has cost a fortune to assemble. The only player of genuine quality is Coutinho. Henderson and Milner in midfield is just workmanlike and boring, yet the pair of them earn a combined 300 odd grand a week. Benteke seems completely unsuited to their style as well
angelman Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Lolvren's classic cock up: http://cdn2.streamable.com/video/webm/3een.webm 0-3: http://cdn2.streamable.com/video/webm/cs2f.webm
Lighthouse Posted 29 August, 2015 Author Posted 29 August, 2015 Spurs looking decent against Everton but wasting chances.
Plastic Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Yep an utter disgrace...and against Stoke they were lucky, saved by a great strike from Coutinho. Who won't be playing for the next few matches!!!
Lighthouse Posted 29 August, 2015 Author Posted 29 August, 2015 Who won't be playing for the next few matches!!! 1 match. Cleverly has picked up a nasty looking injury against Spurs. Could be out for a while.
CanadaSaint Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 1 match. Cleverly has picked up a nasty looking injury against Spurs. Could be out for a while. I know the commentators are saying it was a good tackle but it wasn't. It was a scissor tackle, which they were rightly trying to get out of the game a few years back. Those aren't too far short of "going over the ball" in terms of the dangers they pose.
Plastic Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 1 match. Cleverly has picked up a nasty looking injury against Spurs. Could be out for a while. Was it not a straight red? Didn't see it.
tajjuk Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Well we might be having problems but not like others aren't. Aside man City, none of last years top 7-8 teams have looked that good.
Twiggy Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Was it not a straight red? Didn't see it. 2 yellows, one for dissent.
S-Clarke Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 Spurs without the goals of Harry Kane aren't up to much tbh, not sure where their other consistent threats are.
DuncanRG Posted 29 August, 2015 Posted 29 August, 2015 (edited) But apparently we have no reason to envy what they've done in the transfer window. What have they done in the transfer window? Made a phenomenal signing in Cabaye - which it's widely reported was only possible due to his personal relationship with Pardew - then some touch-ups here and there. Very respectable, but their good form is about a lot more than signings, just like our poor form is down to a lot more than signings. How this isn't obvious, when our usually good players are performing as badly as the new recruits, is beyond me. A few accumulators ruined this afternoon. A Good day for the bookies. My housemate had West Ham and Palace down to win. Only Leicester and Villa deprived him of an eight-game accy with a £3,800 payout! Edited 29 August, 2015 by DuncanRG
