Monk Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 For those that traveled, hats off and thank you. You sounded brilliant on the radio, despite the horrible last ten minutes when anxiety overtakes passion you really got behind that shambles of a display. Have a safe journey back, I really feel for you!
Trout-Tickler Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 Well said Monk. As bad as tonight was at least I wasn't there to see it live!
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 Well said Monk. As bad as tonight was at least I wasn't there to see it live! I would have given anything to be there or at Vitesse. I won't get an opportunity again in well over a decade unless we win a cup.
B Rabbit Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 I don't think I've ever felt so f**king angry after a game..standing there in the ****ing rain watching long ball crap. Team full of average players. 5 at the back for an away game where we need a goal...the mind boggles. Cannot believe what a complete cluster **** and waste of a golden opportunity I have just witnessed. So disappointed.
Morse Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 I would get an invoice into RK for your travel expenses if i were you. He owes you.
Brave Sir Robin Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 Completely agree. Got right behind the team and made plenty of noise. Fully deserve to be offered a refund by the club imo.
Suhari Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 Yep. Hats off to you guys. Enjoy a local beverage, and have a safe trip back.
CanadaSaint Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 At least they can leave with their heads held high but I doubt that most of them will. Well done, folks.
Milton Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 They should get their money back after that display
ladysaint Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 Sat in Fox and Hounds in Herning feeling very sorry for myself. Got what we deserved.
Whitey Grandad Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 Thanks for the recognition. I'm glad I came to this one as I had a feeling that this might happen and I also have a feeling that it's going to be a long while to the next. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
positivepete Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 It was so reminiscent of Bucharest. A wet evening and we couldn't score after a 1-1 draw at home. Very disappointing. I hope the players make it up to us on Sunday. What the average fan has spent on this trip is like a Saints player paying out 50k of their cash. I have enjoyed the trips to Arnhem and here, if not this performance, and I am gutted not to be going to Dortmund, Florence and Monaco in the group stages, but it will save me a bit of cash.
Whitey Grandad Posted 27 August, 2015 Posted 27 August, 2015 The one big positive of the night was meeting the delightful Positive Pete and his son Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

The Cat Posted 28 August, 2015 Posted 28 August, 2015 I've had a great time these past 2 games, as I did in Bucharest. Annoying that the chance to experience watching Saints at some more new grounds and possibly countries has been lost. Still, I'd have much rather been here than sat at home moaning behind a keyboard.
LGTL Posted 28 August, 2015 Posted 28 August, 2015 It's been a brilliant couple of days here, yet ultimately utterly ruined by that performance. I'm still in shock that we played 3 centre halves, Targett and Martina against that lot.
Killers Knee Posted 28 August, 2015 Posted 28 August, 2015 its one thing to watch that performance in sunny southern Mediterranean, but to have to watch it in those conditions you should be given medals. Well done.
Danbert Posted 28 August, 2015 Posted 28 August, 2015 Took my son who was mildly heart broken. I tried to explain that, as a Saints supporter, he should get used to loosing dour games in the rain - that it was traditional. Didn't really help :-(
Sour Mash Posted 28 August, 2015 Posted 28 August, 2015 Herning was a decent little town, not a bad away end, felt like there was a lot more than 500 Saints about town, probably because there were! If anything, having a good crack on these trips makes it even more gutting going out, everyone's got the taste for more European jaunts.
S4INT Posted 28 August, 2015 Posted 28 August, 2015 Ta. The Southampton of old. The Southampton I know so well. It's the hope that gets you every time... Til next time everyone.
Griffo Posted 28 August, 2015 Posted 28 August, 2015 Absolutely gutless. Been looking forward to this for so long, spend a f*ckload of money and the team go and do that. Absolute c*nts. We're not going to go down or ever break into the top 4, this was a competition to genuinely look forward to. Gutted.
