My own unsubstantiated theory is that the new ball is said to move a bit (according to a few goalkeepers) so players are having a go and seeing what happens after noticing something in training but as with most things what is looking good in training does not work whatsoever in a game situation.

Our passing was nowhere near as crisp and controlled as Boro's but our defending look ok although Gazza's positional sense and decision making is a concern.

Juanmi's final ball was often overhit and our midfield young pretenders look a long way from stepping up to the first team.

Seems our youngsters are nowhere near as good as the past few years? Or highlighted with a few already having already stepped up (Targett, Ward-Prowse) and a few on loan (Stephens, Turnbull, Gallagher)?

Why the hell is Juanmi playing at this level? He was playing in a good league last season and scoring against very good sides. Bizarre.
