JxgrSaint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Worrying, how poor we look against ****ing Watford. Need to sort our defence and tactics out...
davefoggy Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 this is so dire. this isn't anywhere near the side i watched last season. time for JWP?
BotleySaint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 We're seeing evidence of how good Schniederlin was It's not Morgan we are missing. It's Clyne and Bertrand. Those two change the whole shape of the team.
Saint Charlie Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 How does Long get on ahead of Jay, Juanmi or even Tadic?
DG Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 JWP coming on Now would be a decent time to bury a FK.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Try whatever you like, if it was 'bespoke' it wouldn't be called SAP, it would be called 'jeff's shiîty in-house developed software'. Can you customise SAP with additional components? Indeed you can, most of these would be off the shelf packages, unless you are a government department who enjoys haemorrhaging money and missing deadlines. Let's see if I can help you to understand. Microsoft (and others) now have a set of offerings labeled 'platform as a service' (PaaS) which rely on the assumption that their SOFTWARE will meet your individual needs. By your reckoning, they should shutter these offerings, as 'if it ain't bespoke, it won't do' I'll remember that next time I'm chatting to a CEO about building a predictable, scalable IT function. *sigh* Ok, so what you don't seem to understand is that what Saints have isn't just a SQL database that they do SQL database queries over. Although this is what happens. They have an independently developed front end (and a very slick touch UI) that is unique to them. As is the data. I'm unsure what your point is, as I said the Software is generic, the bespoke changes (generally to fit the businesses requirements) is what makes it unique to Saints?
DrunkenSaint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 What happened to the possession keeping/passing/high pressure we used to play ?? We just seem to bang it long everytime Cause of Pelle, if we swapped him with lets say Jrod or Juanmi, we would probably play good passing on the deck football.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 apparently we had the easiest opening three games....... Imagine if we had the start we did in season one back
Batman Posted 23 August, 2015 Author Posted 23 August, 2015 We are lucky we are playing a pretty gash side
Pass the Dutchie Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 We're looking better defensively, which is good after last week. Now the rest.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Cedric has a shot on goal! well almost on goal
DrunkenSaint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 JWP coming on. Woo. Exciting. Wow, jwp and Davis is the same type of player so not really changed anything.
Mr X Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 We are lucky we are playing a pretty gash side A pretty gash side that still have been better than us today
del boy Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 there seems to be a big hole where our midfield used to be?
BotleySaint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 A pretty gash side that still have been better than us today I don't agree with that. We haven't been great but both sides fairly even over all. Could go either way. The thing is based on last season we ought to be beating them, not matching them.
angelman Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Not sure whether we are looking a little better, or whether it is just my stream is working better.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 We're looking better defensively, which is good after last week. Now the rest. But this is Watford we are playing!
melmacian_saint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Romeu looks like a good player, but I think with him and Wanyama our midfield lies too deep. We can't play our FBs this far forward every week, we're not in the Eredivisie!
LainPain Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Romeu looks like a good player, but I think with him and Wanyama our midfield lies too deep. Yep, especially with 3 CBs, that's 5 central, defensive players.
OldNick Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 We need pace, and without Mane we are pedestrian at best. How about Sisco from Mychelin?
JxgrSaint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Romeu looks like a good player, but I think with him and Wanyama our midfield lies too deep. We can't play our FBs this far forward every week, we're not in the Eredivisie! At the rate Romeu is going, he'll miss a fair few through suspension!
ART Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Could Ramirez do any worse than those playing today. Time for Ramirez to step up and earn his keep. Sadly don't think Ron has any faith in the guy at all
InvictaSaint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Could Ramirez do any worse than those playing today. Time for Ramirez to step up and earn his keep. Sadly don't think Ron has any faith in the guy at all There are good reasons for that...
Plastic Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 *sigh* Ok, so what you don't seem to understand is that what Saints have isn't just a SQL database that they do SQL database queries over. Although this is what happens. They have an independently developed front end (and a very slick touch UI) that is unique to them. As is the data. I'm unsure what your point is, as I said the Software is generic, the bespoke changes (generally to fit the businesses requirements) is what makes it unique to Saints? Yes yes slick touch screen front end for SQL, that's how we ID these hidden gems, couldn't do it without etc. you clearly know a great deal about it. I'm also unsure of my point now, believe I was doubting the commentator's supposition that we used a totally unique system to identify players, however your tenacity has shown me the error of my ways. Are you staying this time, or do they not have match threads over at sotonians?
sandwichsaint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Yep, especially with 3 CBs, that's 5 central, defensive players. 90% of us would have taken 0-0 at kick-off, lots of last season's success was built on keeping clean sheets.
angelman Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Staying in the bottom 3 at this rate Relegation, administration, panic, panic.
melmacian_saint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 As I mentioned Cédric gets in good positions, but can't get a good cross for his own sake. Too high, not enough pace, too floaty, too short...never good.
adrian lord Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Relegation, administration, panic, panic. Many a true word said in jest...
Saint Pete Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Looking more solid, but lacking a cutting edge. Hmmm...Looking more solid or just not playing Lukaku this week?
angelman Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 1-0 Saints at FT I reckon; Pelle header. I think not, seeing as he is in the changing rooms.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Great Arabic commentator over here saying Jrod has not scored in 18 months! without actually saying (or probably knowing) why! I can understand why he has made that assumption seeing todays game!
alpine_saint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Relegation, administration, panic, panic. A little bit early for this, but at least a salutory lesson to the club management about their complacent tight-fisted transfer policy for next summer, one hopes...
DG Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 1-0 Saints at FT I reckon; Pelle header. Going to be a bit difficult as he's not on the pitch.
InvictaSaint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 I think not, seeing as he is in the changing rooms. That's the problem with the Internet; humour doesn't come across well [emoji4]
DG Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Please fine Long a weeks wages every time he does that. Villa was once in a lifetime.
InvictaSaint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Why cant Juanmi get a game ? Hasn't paid his subs this week, naughty boy.
angelman Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 That's the problem with the Internet; humour doesn't come across well [emoji4] Ah, it was lost in the comedy of errors that is this game.
davefoggy Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Why cant Juanmi get a game ? HAS to be better than Long? Right?
Plastic Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Please fine Long a weeks wages every time he does that. Villa was once in a lifetime. But you did just remind me of that villa goal though, which makes me a bit happier
mulletsaint Posted 23 August, 2015 Posted 23 August, 2015 Why cant Juanmi get a game ? First thing I agree with you on. Has looked intelligent and energetic when I've seen him so far, which is more than can be said for much of our play this season.
