It's so frustrating watching Arsenal, because everyone in the world knows what they need - but Wenger just won't budge. Too many of the same type of player in that midfield equals pass, pass, pass, back, pass, pass. they have zero penetration.

Ozil is an incredibly frustrating watch, I can imagine he gets on the Arsenal fans nerves. He just doesn't do anything.

Pains me to say but the scousers looked very good tonight.

Very well organised and disciplined, looks like they've learned a lot from last season. Although they were helped by Arsenals ineptness for most of the game.

But based on the start of the season, 0 goals conceded, they've learnt lessons. They look a hell of a lot harder to beat and break down.

I still believe they carried Gerrard last season.

Yeah all of a sudden Lovren looks ok with a more solid midfield.

They still have Sturridge to come back at some stage. They are top 4 contenders and a lot more likely than Spurs.

Good signings this summer and they play good football in the main.

Schneiderlin, Alderweireld and Benzema and they'd win the league.

Well I say that, obviously not under Wenger as he'd have them on the bench with Theo and Chamberlain.

Bizarre team. If they don't sign a striker, just play Sanchez there, he's good through the middle. Walcott has always been better on the right, and Chamberlain is better on the left than Ozil who just disappears.

Ramsey is better than Ozil centrally though which doesn't look too good when you've spent that much. Suddenly Cazorla is a defensive midfielder, all hopes rest on Coquelin and Giroud is going to change any day and start scoring 25 a season.

I can see why Arsenal fans are calling for Wenger out, his stubbornness isn't going to win them over. They're not going to win anything with the team they have now. They'll probably win games here and there, but will be a Top 4 finisher again. They need to be challenging for the league with the attacking palyers they have, but as I said above, they have too many of the same sorts. They need someone who is tall, powerful and can drive through midfield, and they need someone who players on the shoulder and who is a clinical finisher - someone who makes the runs for the likes of Ozil, Sanchez, Cazorlla to be able to spot. Their attacking players seemingly all play in the same area and get in each others way.

CB isn't too big a deal for them if they get those 2 positions filled, but pundits and fans a like have said it for about 6 years now. He ain't going to change, in all honesty this has been a **** transfer window for them.

I think that could cause them problems . Brenda needs to play one or the other , if he tries to shoe horn both into the side , he'll end up with Courtino playing slightly different and the midfield unbalanced . The way he pandered to Stevie G I wonder if Brenda has the balls to leave one of them on the bench , and they both seem a bit egotistical .
