How to listen to Solent commentary?

Change in circumstances has meant I've had to give up my season ticket this year and I'm also now just outside the area where I can get reliable Solent reception. Any way I can listen to Dave & Adam online? I've checked and I can't get Solent on DAB either. Last time I tried I think Solent don't have the rights to broadcast the match online? Is Saintsplayer any good? I last used that years ago when I was living in Reading and it was always pants, has it improved?

I have a subscription to Saintsplayer: http://www.player.saintsfc.co.uk/

Its been great in all the years I've been subscribing. Although to be honest the club put a lot of content on YouTube now which does sort of make this a little redundant.

All apart from live commentary. But if you are out of the Solent area it is worth the price for comms alone.

Shame the commentary isn't easily available online in this day and age.

I believe that "this day and age" is about monetising everything that moves.

Under Rupert the commentary was free via Sky*

Saints Player is decent and they have added IOS (and I think Android) apps which make it even easier to listen.

I rely on Blackmore and Merrington for every game commentary. I've subscribed to Saints Player for many years. It's good - although annoying when the pre-game is delayed for away games 'til 10 or 15 minutes before kick-off. They usually have two or three ****-ups with connections each year, but overall it is worth subscribing when you live overseas.

If you pick up Digital Terrestrial TV from either the Rowridge, Salisbury, Hannington or Midhurst transmitter groups you should be receiving BBC Radio Solent on Freeview Channel 719. It is part of the PSB1/BBCA MUX so should also be transmitted on the Freeview Lite transmitters that are associated with the main transmitter groups above.

The Vitesse away game was live on Thursday evening via the Hannington transmitter.

However when this was implemented towards the end of last season it did seem a bit hit and miss whether they would put live football commentaries on (sometimes they had a non-sports show instead); they seemed to have a preference for putting the fish commentary on a Saturday afternoon even though both Saints and the Cherries were sometimes playing games that had much more riding on them at the same time. This season with both us and Bournemouth being in the Premier League their maybe contractual restrictions (we'll have to wait and see) but if you do live in the right areas and get Radio Solent via Freeview it is another option to keep tabs on.

Thanks all.

Only in Fordingbridge so to get Solent all I actually need to do is park up in the forest and listen on the car radio but that option isn't particularly attractive in the depths of winter :)

Fordingbridge being down in a valley gets absolutely crap TV reception so we don't have a TV aerial - just watch everything on internet streaming instead.

So Dave & Adam's comm is what SaintsPlayer uses? If so that sounds the best option - do they also carry the pregame/postgame parts of the show? Gonna miss the drive to and from the game listening to the analysis and non-league show.

Also being constantly interrupted by Dogging Couples ****ging on the car bonnet can be a bit of a put off whilst listening to Dave's Dulcet Tones
