pillock69 Posted 5 August, 2015 Posted 5 August, 2015 He told a friend of mine just a week at the Espanyol friendly.
Lighthouse Posted 5 August, 2015 Posted 5 August, 2015 Probably back for Newcastle I suppose. European injuries don't count for domestic games so he should be available.

Miltonaggro Posted 5 August, 2015 Posted 5 August, 2015 European injuries don't count for domestic games so he should be available. Very good
Saint Charlie Posted 5 August, 2015 Posted 5 August, 2015 Could be fit for Sunday according to Koeman. Wonder if he will play anyway, looks like he could do with a training camp for a couple of weeks or he will keep picking up injuries. The PL is miles quicker than Dutch football.

Bewildered Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 Any news? BBC Solent Sport @solentsport 10h10 hours ago #saintsfc Jordy Clasie trained today & will tomorrow. Erwin Koeman said he was not risked to get his fitness right with whole season in mind Looks likely he'll be available in some capacity for Everton.

SuperSAINT Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 Seeing this makes me angry It's probably been set as that by default for the last 3 seasons.
Wiggles31 Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 Looks likely he'll be available in some capacity for Everton. Cheers. Will be great to have him as an option on Saturday.
doddisalegend Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 Cheers. Will be great to have him as an option on Saturday. I give him 10 minutes before the SMS crowd start complaining he is no Morgan Schneiderlin.....
S-Clarke Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 I give him 10 minutes before the SMS crowd start complaining he is no Morgan Schneiderlin..... Blimey, that long?
doddisalegend Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 Blimey, that long? I was trying to be kind..... At least he won't get donkey noises like Pelle did beginning of last season.
trousers Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 Starts for U21s this evening (7pm) Gazzaniga, Gape, McCarthy ©, Wood, Debayo, Clasie, Reed, Hesketh, McQueen, Isgrove, Barnes. Substitutes: Isted (GK), Cook, Sims, Olomola, Little.
mcbendy Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 Turned his ankle for U21s early in the second half. Didn't look serious.
Matthew Le God Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 It looked like he came off as a precaution and wasn't that bad as he watched the rest of the match from the bench rather than having treatment. Plus he just tweeted this... Jordy Clasie @JordyClasie 3m3 minutes ago Happy to be back on the field #SaintsFC Would he do that if injured again?
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 Would he do that if injured again? Hard to tell one way or another given that his statement was nothing to do with the unfortunate injury. And if he was injured, why would be admitted it on Twitter?

Barry the Badger Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 They asked him how the injury felt and he said "it feels good".
Saint Charlie Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 They asked him how the injury felt and he said "it feels good". LOL
scotty Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 They asked him how the injury felt and he said "it feels good". LOL " Hurts so good", who sang that?
Whitey Grandad Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 He was unlikely to have played a full game if there was any doubt over his injury anyway. It sounds like he is being saved for Saturday.
Bakovnetski Posted 10 August, 2015 Posted 10 August, 2015 " Hurts so good", who sang that? John Cougar Mellencamp HTH

ART Posted 11 August, 2015 Posted 11 August, 2015 I am unable to feel confident about Clasie's injury situation. The season has barely begun and he's been clobbered and out injure. How is he going to stand up to playing in the Premier League. He's so small and despite there being precedents of many small players as tough as nails, he doesn't strike me as being one. Even Mané looks tougher and holds his own better.

We've barely seen him play and most players would have suffered a knock with the accidental challenge on him yesterday.
TheMidfieldGeneral Posted 11 August, 2015 Posted 11 August, 2015 Saw Clasie going into The Spire today with one of those big **** off protective boots on and on crutches. Doesn't look good.
eddie Posted 11 August, 2015 Posted 11 August, 2015 he played u21's though..... and the assist he gave for barnes first goal was absolutely phenomenal

This might provide some reassurance about his durability: http://www.transfermarkt.com/jordy-clasie/verletzungen/spieler/104223
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 11 August, 2015 Posted 11 August, 2015 he played u21's though..... and the assist he gave for barnes first goal was absolutely phenomenal He got injured in the U21's. It's a ligaments in his knee from the looks of it as a player rolled into his standing leg and his foot stayed planted and his knee twisted a little. Think back to Lallana against Reading at home in our first season back in the Premier League.
Batman Posted 11 August, 2015 Posted 11 August, 2015 he played u21's though..... and the assist he gave for barnes first goal was absolutely phenomenal jesus, calm down

Shame, feel for the guy. Will have wanted to hit the ground running and makes the absence of Morgan more apparent for the team.
eddie Posted 11 August, 2015 Posted 11 August, 2015 jesus, calm down you....didn't agree? better than I could have done and anything that's better than I could have done, is definitely phenomenal

Batman Posted 11 August, 2015 Posted 11 August, 2015 you....didn't agree? better than I could have done and anything that's better than I could have done, is definitely phenomenal fair enough
eddie Posted 11 August, 2015 Posted 11 August, 2015 fair enough only joking. But it was a nice pass. Actually thought barnes looked very good - hadn't seen a minute of him play until this game but thought he was a decent prospect
VectisSaint Posted 11 August, 2015 Posted 11 August, 2015 oh wow, I didn't realise at all. Not good news. Doubt its knee, looked like ankle last night and the report of the boot/The Spire woud tend to suggest foot ss well. He wouldn't have been ready for a start Saturday, might have made the bench at a push.
Batman Posted 11 August, 2015 Posted 11 August, 2015 Who by? physio room. (no idea where they get their info from but always seems pretty reliable)
shurlock Posted 11 August, 2015 Posted 11 August, 2015 Doubt its knee, looked like ankle last night and the report of the boot/The Spire woud tend to suggest foot ss well. He wouldn't have been ready for a start Saturday, might have made the bench at a push. High ankle sprain? Which would be unfortunate.. Of course, it's not uncommon to roll your ankle and suffer only a minor sprain and wear a boot for precautionary reasons.

His shoulder is a weak point as he dislocates it every now and then but it was never a reason to be replaced at Feyenoord. A hamstring or knee injury is something else off course but that goes for any player.
