This has been mentioned on other threads, but more a general post as to how the club treat its fans.

Tonight we learnt that Saga didn't get international clearance in time to play on Sunday. So for my money that is either incredible in competancy from the board or pure bull****.

It might well be he is on a game bonus that we cant afford - so tell us, but no, it just gets wrapped it spin and ******** as per usual.

In his resignation year lowe went to great lengths to assure us that Graham had complete editorial control of the OS. Less than 3 hours after he resigned, Hiley put the record straight and confirmed lowe was bull****ting out of his arse.

Lowe really thinks we are that stupid..........we are football fans so we must be.

Saga is now on our wage bill, and will not be playing, but will still be paid. If the genuine reason is that international clearance wasnt gained in time, then those that didnt make that happen should be sacked.

Think back to when Gordan Brown assured us all the reason he wasn't calling an election (After breifing the entire press) had nothing to do with the Conservative surge in the polls . It's insulting that they think we will fall for their bull****.

I love this club, just don't understand why those in charge, want to constantly lie and bull**** to the very people it serves.

think this is done at length on the Saga thread, answer lies somewhere in conspricacy / saving money / Allborg considering hanging on to him / trying to move him elsewhere / only had bank holiday since loan ended??

lets say his loan was up 31st dec...which is highly possible..

with the new year and hols and weekend..it is quite possible that someone in the chain that deals with registrations has not been there at work..?

TDD i dont always agree with your opinion, but quite like your posts.

If what you have is written is true, then i would expect the Saints contact to be sacked tomorrow.

This is one of our most expensive assets. Knowing that his loan came to an end in December and the fragile state of or cub, anybody that hasn't got this sorted by early December, should be sacked. There is no excuses. And given that international clearance is a 30 sec fax, i would much rather the club front it up and explain we cant afford to play him. They think we are retards.

erm...it is quite possible...

loans (due to salary payments) can and do oftern run until the last day of the month...until that day, that club will hold the playing registration for that player...unfortunately for saints...we have hit a bank holiday and a weekend in one go...so those who do..would not be at work in UEFA...

quite possible...not saying I think that is the case..but want to put another view out there as just blindly putting the boot into the club for every little thing is embarassing and boring

Was having a similar discussion earlier, saying how much I hate all the lies and bull**** that the fans are supposed to believe.

Even from that lot down the road, saying that Defoe is 'ill' today and so missed training.

I think everyone knows Defoe wants to go and just won't train until he's been sold, but why not just say that?

As for the Saga thing, well I think that they may be preventing him from being cup-tied so that any potential suitors aren't put off.

Still, I'd rather the club just owned up and admitted this. All the lies are just boring and most fans are able to see through them!

.

why...what if someone at UEFA is not at work..?

there is not alot we can do when the world is on a holiday for a day or so..

in some countries (scotland for one) the 2nd of January is also a bank holiday...

just saying like..

If only we could just get him to **** off and bring in the barrister and his money then we could chase an outside chance of the playoffs.

And picking this up from the other thread:

A little birdy tells me that it's the receiving association (ie our FA) that would have been contacted frst by us to initiate the return of the International Transfer Certificate.

They would then get in touch with the Danish FA to get it returned.

Here's something I got earlier in an e mail from an administrator in the game who is somewhat perplexed that the paperwork has not been sorted!!!!

"On expiry of the loan, the ITC should be returned by the Norwegian FA to the FA, as long as we SFC have requested it. With a loan this is a formality as everyone should be well aware when the loan would expire. This should happen very quickly and probably within the same day if it has been requested."

Something just doesn't add up for me.

Bristol City have managed it in a day with their new Slovakian striker, but we can't manage to arrange it having known from the off that the loan would come to an end on 31/12/08.

And with a potential pay day of a million pounds if we managed to sneak a replay, you would like to think that all stops had been pulled out if we want him to feature (and it's not like we've been scoring for fun recently).

to be fair..imagine the fecking uproar if he was honest and came out and said (in the press/OS)

"Marek Saganowski will not be playing against Man Utd as the chances of the team realistically winning are 1-5% and the cost of his playing bonus is not worth spending...the risk/reward potential is non existant"..

you could imagine all of us going mental at that...jesus, we went mental over a picture on a wall...

as the truth (the snippets we get) send some of you into meltdown..

the very mention of lowe sends you stupid and as soon as a word is mis-spelt on the OS lowe is immediately slaughtered..

lets say the club was honest and said.."we are fecking broke" the only players we can afford are frees who are litterally teenagers and players like ryan smith..

I wonder what the reaction would be....I think we all know

saying this about sagga is quite obviously, the lesser of two evils...and I suspect, if you thought about it, you know it is true too..

To be honest mate, i'd rather they told us straight. Most fans understand the financial restrictions we are under and if we can't afford to play him, so be it. But the constant biullsti and spin, insults my (limited) intelligence and keeps me from watching the club i love.

I don't think many are denying we are broke but it 's when we continually waste what little wehave on players like Smith, Pekhart, Gasmi, Forecast(although Kelvin will go soon IMO), Pulis that ****es most of us off and then let what decent we have left go is sometimes the straw that breaks the camels back.

What will Smith bring that Jake Thomson, McLaggon, Gobern wont? We have plenty of left sided at the moment - we even had to shoehorn Smith in on the right last week - yet we are fed bull**** on the OS about having plenty of wingers - OK name the right wingers . I bet you can name the left wing.

Sums it up for me, it is not about being broke BUT how we are spending what we have.

ExACTLY AS IN 2003 WE are buying players who are no better than what we have

Posted

you lot actually want the club to be honest and say "we are so hard up that we can't even afford Saga's wages at this point, so we are trying our hardest to offload him ASAP. Needless to say we don't want him cup tied or injured so he is not playing this weekend."

Do that and Surman and Lallana's price comes down another £500,000.

I know the accounts are out there but no need to advertise further our problems.

I think the fact JP said "Saga could be back for the second half of the season" tells you that the club are trying to offload him. In my eyes he is gone unless of course his wages are too high for other ckubs as well.

Unfortunately we do not know all the facts although I would have thought Smith to be surplus to our requirements.

However he a little more experienced than our other youngsters and may have shown the coaching staff that he has potential.

Also our other youngsters maybe going to be loaned out.

I would have thought between them JP Wotte Hockaday and Henderson would know what they are doing

It is because we have been unable to recoup transfer money for John Saga Euell Thomas Skacel and Rasiak we are in the trouble we are.

Their involvement at SFC has not been a success in fact a disaster probably sums up their involvement

lots of mays, maybe's, and would have thoughts.

my concern is the 4 you mentioned are all experienced running a youth team where development can be seen as more important than results but they lack CCC or any other real competitive football experience.

I just cannot see what the end policy is meant to be because unless we keep some better players the income will continue to fall and the current policy itself is a major part of the spiral.

Whilst i think Administration would be a diaster i am beginning to believe that it is going to happen and that it is just a matter of time.

Surely the Owners(Lowe, Wilde, Crouch, Withers, Askham, Richards) could go to the bank and guarantee an overdraft limit increase of say £5m and get some players who could reverse the spiral

Posted

I also wonder if you have to throw Lowe's name in the mix there, as i would love to know just how much input he has with regards spotting and targeting potential transfer/loan targets.

Yes it is a dilemma but I dont think we will go into administration because of your last point.

However injuries do seem to be causing lots of the current day to day problems as we do not seem to have a settled team

Whilst Mike is probably right that the major shareholders probably could raise £5m between them, the fact remains that the club has to earn enough income to cover its outgoings or it is not viable. Increasing costs through more borrowing and more spending on players would make the financial position worse, not better. Professional football can suck up every penny put into it by directors and other backers with no guarantees that more spending will improve performances. At a time when the directors other investments must have fallen in value due to the recession it really is not realistic to believe that anyone is going to spend the club out of trouble.

Maybe the answer is just to hand the board over to some of the ultra crital posters on here, who could then sack the mananger and the coaching staff and show us all how it should be done!

I would have thought Lowe had little or no input.

Clubs would be trying to get us to take loan players.

This years loan players

Smith seems to have impressed the coaching staff

Cork and Pearce Good.

Robertson was no good but was recruited to get Dyer off our books.

Pekhart who appeared to have lots of potential scored lots of goals for a Premiership Reserve side was found wanting like Euell Thomas

explain to me how we get out of this spiral without getting the crowds back , because drafting in other clubs youth team rejects is not working.

Let Lowe, Crouch and co buy 2 players who add 3k to the gate , we start winning and build momentum because without it this club is in its death throws.
