Hamilton Saint Posted 2 August, 2015 Posted 2 August, 2015 Not a particular favourite of mine as a singer (as Burt Bacharach points out in this great video, her voice often had a harsh, strident edge to it), but she had a wonderful, down-to-earth personality. This video features the recording of "Alfie" at Abbey Road Studios. George Martin is the producer, and Burt Bacharach is the arranger, conductor and pianist.
