angelman Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 Apologies if there is a thread about this.... Does anyone know how this works? Is it in place yet as I can't make the Everton game.
ScottishSaint79 Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 It's only available once a game has sold out. Still tickets available for Everton at the moment. So unfortunately you would not be able to use it til the tickets all go.
angelman Posted 31 July, 2015 Author Posted 31 July, 2015 Ah ha. Ta Will give them to the neighbour then.
Colinjb Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 Considering that it requires a game to be a sell out, it's not very likely that you will be able to sell back many tickets is it?
ant Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 Uhuh - in the same boat as I'm away for the first home game too. Looks like it'll only be useful later in the season.
saintsforlife7 Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 I think it also says that the cost when refunded comes off of your ST renewal next season
marc_saint Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/tickets/season-tickets/ Ticket resale scheme - The ticket resale scheme will only come into operation once a game has been declared as sold out - Upon the Club opening the scheme, you will be able to offer your seat for re-sale using the online ticketing system - No guarantee can be given that your seat will be sold - If your seat is sold, a credit will be applied to your account which can be redeemed against the cost of your 2016/17 Season Ticket

Ashtead Saint Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 Sounds reasonable to me, and a distinct improvement on previous seasons.
redkeith Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 Pompey have also introduced a similar scheme, but in their version, the club resells your ticket and keep the money for themselves. I think the Saints version is much fairer. http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/article/pompey-launch-seat-release-scheme-at-fratton-park-2581725.aspx

There is very little incentive in anyone using the Pompey scheme compared to the Saints one, if the Pompey fans don't benefit financially from it. They'd be better off giving it to a friend/relative or selling it themselves.
The9 Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 Both systems are pretty crappy for the seller, tbh. May as well find a mate who wants it and arrange appropriate compensation between you. It's only really beneficial if you don't know someone who wants a ticket and you ALWAYS have an ST.

I'm going to give mine to a geezer who does favours for me with my trees (he's a tree surgeon). He charges me less than he should so a couple of tickets is the least I can do.
