mcbendy Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 I'd be interested in knowing what proportion of the regular day-time posters on here are unemployed, what proportion are slackers who slyly post at work, and what proportion are e.g. shift-workers. So - what are you - slacker, unemployed or shift-worker? Me first. I am a slacker...
IMO Im ITK Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 By your definition...Slacker... Currently debating whether i'd get away with Sky Go'ing the Ashes for the rest of the afternoon..
Whitey Grandad Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 None of the above. I have my own business but am semi-retired in that I still go into work but I get paid very little for it.
The Cat Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 I used to be a slacker back in the day but now can't get away with browsing or posting while at work. Probably a good thing because I got in massive trouble because of my internet use at work about 15 years ago.
doddisalegend Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 None of the above I'm a conscientiousness employee who makes sure I get all my union regulated breaks
Hamilton Saint Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 You neglected to include 'retired' in your list of options - which, happily, I am (as of one month ago).
Jack Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 None of the above I'm a conscientiousness employee who makes sure I get all my union regulated breaks This.
scotty Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 Self employed, working various hours between 7am and midnight, hence copious amounts of spare time between jobs.
ScepticalStan Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 Slacker with a back-to-the-wall computer working his notice period at a company he's soon to depart which is going busto in six months anyway. I'm the prototypical football forum poster.
eddie Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 this thread makes me feel all uncomfortable ...you can probably tell the category I'm in....
bogwoppit Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 Worker who's on holiday. I don't post very often but I read at least once every day.
Block34 Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 To plagiarise Whitey Grandad... None of the above. I' a Freelancer who WFH's a lot but I do go into work 2/3 days a week and I get paid bucket loads for it (but will shortly be in the style of Shroppie / Hamilton Saint)
the saint in winchester Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 Based on your definitions, a slacker. Sly poster who should do more work but keeps checking on here to see if anything new posted, yet seems to be in-fighting and correcting each other's spelling.
trousers Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 I'm Bobby Davro's fluffer. Not many hours but pays well.
doddisalegend Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 I'm Bobby Davro's fluffer. Not many hours but pays well. Judging from his smile you are good at your job...
VectisSaint Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 You neglected to include 'retired' in your list of options - which, happily, I am (as of one month ago). Same here
bazza Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 Shift worker. Handy for watching the cricket this week!
StratfordSaint Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 manage my own company. Now on holiday. Lots of spare time.
hasper57saint Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 Retired almost 16 years now and the first thing I did when leaving work was to take my watch off.I've never worn one since!!!
SNSUN Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 Shift worker. If I could receive large sums of money for nothing, I'd happily do nothing. Sadly that's many years away.
badgerx16 Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 Unemployed since being made redundant in June - however as I am receiving my pension the Mrs says I'm retired. Before this I was a conscientious worker who, being in charge of Internet security, managed to find plenty of ways around it ;-)
bridge too far Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 Retired but occupied a lot of the time being a grandmother so only post on here between children
saintroyt Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 What the hell has this post got to do with saints ? What people do with their live,s is down to them
GarrettIvo Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 Shift worker/slacker with the aid of time difference a lot of the time. Although not right now.
Hatch Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 What the hell has this post got to do with saints ? What people do with their live,s is down to them so which category are you ?
Jonnyboy Posted 30 July, 2015 Posted 30 July, 2015 And people on here have the nerve to call the unemployed workshy!!

andoru Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 I post on the sly at work and and at home, in between arguments with the wife.
Hockey_saint Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 Slacker, although like a lot, I work a flexi shift pattern and I have an internet connection for the entire working day.
Winnersaint Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 Teacher. As of last week retired, or at least semi retired as daughter still got two ears at Uni. Going back on a different contract in September three days a week. Liking the sound of 4 day weekends.
PhilippineSaint Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 definitely a slacker although I am only at work for 6 months a year and the other 6 months the internet is always connected.
niceandfriendly Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 I'm Bobby Davro's fluffer. Not many hours but pays well. Funny you should mention him as Bobby was in the Itchen last night with his two kids. Still gets on well with many at the club and tries to get to as many home games as possible.

So - what are you - slacker, unemployed or shift-worker? Me first. I am a slacker... I'm a pensioner, but not the only one by a long way.....My time is my own....(apart from the shopping, decorating, the gardening, the grandchildren ....etc, etc),

Brave Sir Robin Posted 31 July, 2015 Posted 31 July, 2015 I'm your boss. Consider yourself unemployed, slacker!
