Does anyone use it?

Is it worth my measly Aussie dollars to pay for?

Do they actually broadcast games on it? I can watch all the league games already, but maybe for FA/League/Europa Cup games, if they're on the Saints on site, would be worth my time.

Not sure it's worthwhile if you've got access to the games elsewhere - it's good for highlights packages of league games (they do two for each game, one of around 8 or 9 minutes and another extended version of around 20-25 minutes), but there's no live content through there. Anything live (press conferences, U21 games, friendlies, etc) goes through the club's YouTube channel.

 

I think they're contractually obliged to put a certain amount of content on Saints Player, but because a) SP is crap, and b) they want more exposure so they use their free platforms, they only put the bare minimum on there these days.

It doesn't show any live video of games.

 

It has...

 

- live radio commentary from BBC Radio Solent

- 10 minute video highlights of games with retrospective neutral commentary

- 15-30 minute video highlights with BBC Radio Solent commentary put over the top

- an archive of video highlights from past seasons

 

Pre-match press conferences, manager interviews, player interviews and youth team games are available for free on Saints Youtube channel.

Meh. I can live without it then obviously.

 

All EPL games are on cable here, which I am fortunate to have free access too (for now).

And I can live with streaming everything else if I have to.

Again, for now.

 

On that note... It's a pre-3am wakeup for me tomorrow to make sure I have enough time to find an online source.

In fairness it's difficult to find decent, english commentary highlights of games from last season let alone going any further back. So in that respect it may be worth it.

I watched every league game live last season, except Swansea away, which I watched a few hours afterwards. But with a new baby in the house I may struggle this season. I can hope though. She can put on her Saints onesies and watch with me!
