Kingsland Codger Posted 27 July, 2015 Share Posted 27 July, 2015 A very recent problem has arisen. When I use Google to search for something and then hit the Search button, rather than receiving a list of suggested sites I get returned to my browser's homepage. This means I cannot use Google as a search engine. I am using IE 11 and Windows 8. I do not have this problem when using Google on the Google Chrome browser and so one solution would be to use GC as my main browser. However, I would prefer to use IE. Any suggestions how to cure the IE Google search problem? Many thanks in advance.
JakkoUK Posted 27 July, 2015 Share Posted 27 July, 2015 Your problem is you are using internet explorer, probably the worst of all browsers. Download Mozzila Firefox and problem solved.

Start with an IE reset - Tools>Internet Options>Advanced - Reset If that fails, Control Panel > Programs and Features and remove IE11 and re-install
Kingsland Codger Posted 29 July, 2015 Author Share Posted 29 July, 2015 Many thanks, saint_stevo, for your helpful response. The problem has now been solved. I'm not sure what I did, but I think it was simply deleting cookies and the browser history. Thank you also JakkoUK.
