hypochondriac Posted 4 October, 2018 Posted 4 October, 2018 That what was said before the last general election, hence the title of this thread.Well the truth will be when Labour under Corbyn win an election. Happy to admit I was wrong if it happens but I doubt it.
Jonnyboy Posted 4 October, 2018 Posted 4 October, 2018 Well the truth will be when Labour under Corbyn win an election. Happy to admit I was wrong if it happens but I doubt it. Unhappy to admit you were wrong surely?
hypochondriac Posted 4 October, 2018 Posted 4 October, 2018 Unhappy to admit you were wrong surely?I won't be happy that I was wrong but I'll be happy to admit to being wrong about it.
Jonnyboy Posted 5 October, 2018 Posted 5 October, 2018 I won't be happy that I was wrong but I'll be happy to admit to being wrong about it. I meant unhappy that Labour were into power.
hypochondriac Posted 5 October, 2018 Posted 5 October, 2018 I meant unhappy that Labour were into power.Of course. I've made no secret that the very last thing I would want is corbyn leading the country with mcdonnel in charge of the economy and Diane Abbott as home secretary. I don't think they will be able to persuade enough of the ou lic for it to actually happen but there's always a chance.
Verbal Posted 5 October, 2018 Posted 5 October, 2018 Lol The truth is catching up with Corbyn. He and the Corbynist cabal have now dropped their complaint to IPSO about those nasty press reports that he laid a wreath on top of a plaque celebrating one of the Black September leaders responsible for planning the Munich attack on Israeli athletes. Funny how, after all the grandstanding against the evil MSM, he's just caved. The reason is not hard to find. He unquestionably did lay that wreath. He would lose the case, not least because the visual evidence is overwhelming. The only doubt is whether he was too stupid not to ask who he was honouring at that plaque. Or, more likely in my view, he knew perfectly well that he was commemorating a notorious murderer.

aintforever Posted 5 October, 2018 Posted 5 October, 2018 Lol COULD... IF.... Surely that's only news if they actually find grounds to apply sanctions. Otherwise it's just a non-story to make people like you p!ss their pants because the words 'Corbyn' and 'Hamas" are in the same sentence.

whelk Posted 6 October, 2018 Posted 6 October, 2018 Loved Corbyn’s Tweet showing Ian Wright meet his inspiration alteacher. Even a Tory might get emotional.
hypochondriac Posted 6 October, 2018 Posted 6 October, 2018 Loved Corbyn’s Tweet showing Ian Wright meet his inspiration alteacher. Even a Tory might get emotional. That's old isn't it?
Verbal Posted 12 October, 2018 Posted 12 October, 2018 Some depressing facts. It's now 44 years since Labour won an overall majority with a leader who wasn't Tony Blair. That leader, in 1974, was the classic Red Tory Harold Wilson, who'd sent the British army into Northern Ireland, ignored pressure to extend nationalisation, and presided over an alarming slide in industrial relations. Discount him and you have to go back to 1945, and Clement Attlee - also a Red Tory, under whose leadership the NHS was set up with a huge concession to doctors who wanted to keep their private practice within public hospitals, who engineered the establishment of NATO as an alliance against the progressive forces of Joe Stalin, and who fought foreign wars like Malaya. Discount him and - well, that's it. There was no Labour majority government before that. Still, with St Jezza only neck and neck in the polls with the most disastrous, anti-business, incompetent Tory government in modern history, it's sure to change...

Why did you vote for him at the last election then?
whelk Posted 12 October, 2018 Posted 12 October, 2018 That's old isn't it? Yeah been around but still excellent
whelk Posted 24 October, 2018 Posted 24 October, 2018 Jezza wiping the floor with May at PMQs. She really is dreadful so stilted and falls back on same old crp.
Batman Posted 24 October, 2018 Posted 24 October, 2018 Jezza wiping the floor with May at PMQs. She really is dreadful so stilted and falls back on same old crp. she is bad...But for some weird reason, Labour remain rooted firmly behind the Tory's in the Polls. Labour should be cleaning up
Jonnyboy Posted 24 October, 2018 Posted 24 October, 2018 Jezza wiping the floor with May at PMQs. She really is dreadful so stilted and falls back on same old crp. Her declaring the End of Austerity a couple of weeks back was absolutely moronic and a massive stick for Labour to beat her with until... well, the end of austerity.
Cabbage_Face Posted 26 October, 2018 Posted 26 October, 2018 she is bad...But for some weird reason, Labour remain rooted firmly behind the Tory's in the Polls. Labour should be cleaning up Why should they be cleaning up? Some people are not that stupid that they will fall for all the crap they promise.
Verbal Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 A double-hit of bad news for the cult... Firstly, these Blairite sickos voted against Corbyn and McDonnell's party line and opposed tax cuts for the wealthy: Karen Buck, Yvette Cooper, Neil Coyle, Stella Creasy, Mike Gapes Roger Godsiff, Kate Green, Maraget Hodge, Helen Jones, Liz Kendall, David Lammy, Pat McFadden, Ali McGovern, Ian Murray, Lisa Nandy, Jess Phillips, Lucy Powell, Emma Reynolds, Gareth Snell, Martin Whitfield. How dare these Red Tories vote against the (...checks notes...) Tories. And a select band of very special Corbynistas are now under police investigation for hate crimes - namely (of course) Jew hating. Under Corbyn, the institutionally racist party is claiming it has rigorous procedures for letting anti-Semites off, so doesn't understand what the police are fussing about.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 Why should they be cleaning up? Some people are not that stupid that they will fall for all the crap they promise. 52% of the population voted for Brexit, so that's blatantly untrue.
Cabbage_Face Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 52% of the population voted for Brexit, so that's blatantly untrue. Sadly you won't get the turn out for a general election. Brexit is happening, don't be sad, embrace it.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 Sadly you won't get the turn out for a general election. Brexit is happening, don't be sad, embrace it. I'd rather not. I'm just wishing death and pestilence on those that decided that my kids would be better poorer, and with less opportunity.
Cabbage_Face Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 I'd rather not. I'm just wishing death and pestilence on those that decided that my kids would be better poorer, and with less opportunity. They will be fine, much like my generation is, and the ones after. etc etc.
whelk Posted 2 November, 2018 Posted 2 November, 2018 They will be fine, much like my generation is, and the ones after. etc etc. Without the EU life loses all meaning.

Zzzzz
Verbal Posted 3 November, 2018 Posted 3 November, 2018 More virtue signalling... Zzzzz As usual, you seem incapable of any real engagement in the issues raised. Are you actually a member of the Labour party, or Momentum, because you seem to have the thinnest grasp of Labour party politics and how to defend them. Your posting style is that of a bot working in a second language. So what should happen to the Blairite traitors voting against the Tories, Corbyn and McDonnell? And as a loyal cultist, surely you condemn the Blair scums' actions in voting against tax cuts for the rich. Where do you actually stand on the criminal investigation into Corbynist Jew haters? Do you approve of the party's decision not even to inform Luciana Berger of the violent Jew-hating threat made against her? And how's that investigation going into Corbyn's laying a wreath at a memorial plaque to the man who plotted the murders of the Israeli athletes in Munich? Surely Corbyn's not such a cretinous liar that he's made the appalling Daily Mail look to be on the right side of the argument. Right?
Saint86 Posted 6 November, 2018 Posted 6 November, 2018 52% of the population voted for Brexit, so that's blatantly untrue. That is not correct
Nolan Posted 7 November, 2018 Posted 7 November, 2018 Oh, to have these people running the country...
hypochondriac Posted 7 November, 2018 Posted 7 November, 2018 Diane Abbott is incredibly stupid. Diane Abbott has been promoted far beyond her capabilities most likely for ideological reasons
