I think Rodgers or Martinez will be the first to go.

I think Aguero will become top scorer again

I think this is the year for arsenal. Their squad is now incredible

Bournemouth will do well but their squad will start to take its toll and like burnley, they wont have enough

For saints, Mane will have a great season as will bertrand, Fonte and Vic

England will brush aside the remaining sides in the qualifiers and made to look very average in the high profile friendlies

in the Euros, we will battle our way to the quarters, get dumped out playing boring, negative football. only play 1 good game in the whole competition with Roy stating how delighted he is. He will then leave

4. Arsenal

5. Liverpool

6/7/8/9. Spurs, Saints, Swansea, Palace (!?) ... actually, could through in Everton and Newcastle too. Could be an interesting season, but I can't see that not being the top 5, in that order, bar a spectacular f**k up by Man Utd.

Relegated;

Could be many, but Bournemouth, Watford, Sunderland.

I'd go with exactly the same in the League except with Saints 8th. Also slightly less optimistic on the Cups.

Saints - 55 points

Bottom 3

Leicester

None of them will reach 30 points

First to go: Ranieri

Top scorer: Aguero

Bournemouth will start well and do enough in the first half of the season to avoid relegation after struggling in the second half. During this time their ownership structure will come under scrutiny and they will dive back down the leagues after the financial support is withdrawn. Eddie Howe will be poached next summer by another mid table Premier Club.

For saints, Mane will have a great season as will Clasie. Callum Slattery will make his first team debut. Forster will not play.

Agree that England will brush aside the remaining sides in the qualifiers and made to look very average in the high profile friendlies

Think it will be the year that Arsenal finally fall out of the Top 4, replaced by Liverpool or Spurs.

Very poor recrutement by the Arse so far, why they've sold Monreal suddenly, well who knows.

Saints 9th or 1Oth

Any 3 from about 5 or 6 to go down.

Well they haven't yet have they?

I predict we will go out of the Europa cup very early and then after bedwetting and consternation all around we will proceed to have a decent run at the league, I also think we will get to the Semis of one of the domestic cups.

Jay Rod will be linked with Liverpool and spurs from about the end of September onwards. Mane with Arsenal, Mane will make some stupid comments through his agent, upset the fans and end up in the **** with Koeman.

Teflon Rogers will keep his job despite a diabolical start to the season by their standards and then string together a decent run making media proclaim them to be be title contenders up until it is mathematically impossible for them to get in top 4.

Man Utd sign the world but fail to get any of them to play well together consistently at the start of the season which ultimately leads to them missing out on fourth on GD.

Chelski and Arsenal meet each other in the semi final of the Champions league. Arsenal win it but lose in the final.

Chelsea

United

Arsenal

City

--------------

Spores (I think Alderweireld will be crucial for them, unfortunately)

Liverpool (Too many strikers, core of midfield and defense still not sufficient for what they want to achieve - Rodgers approaching £300m spunked)

Relegated:

Watford (Dont think they are making bad signings for a newly promoted side, but expect a slow start off the back of poorly timed management overhaul)

Leicester (Ranieri appointment is a QPR-esque move)

Bournemouth (Initially thought they could cause a few upsets, but for me their transfer activity so far has been poor)

Surprise package:

Aston Villa (If Benteke/Delph money is reinvested correctly, for what its worth I think both of the players lost are good, but vastly overrated)

Saints:

League - 9th

FA cup - Quarter finals

League cup - Quarter finals

Europa league - Round of 32

Think you'll be in the minority with that view. They've finally got the top keeper they desperately needed in Cech, they will be challenging for the title in a four horse race involving Chelsea and both Manchester clubs. Pool and spurs will be 'in transition' as usual

They have been in transition for the last 20 years.

No doubt, but Liverpool will have a good season this time round and some other side will drop out of the Top 4, Arsenal are

ageing in some sectors and a bit injury prone in most and I can see it being them.

As it stands at the moment, Man U for the title, then Chelsea, City and Arsenal.

Bournemouth going down with Villa and Sunderland. Watford to stay up having signed half of Granada and Udinese's best players in January (if not before).

I think we'll come 9th, lose in the last 16 of the Europa League, the 4th round of the League Cup and the FA Cup semi-finals. :)

Though there is another 6 weeks of transfer window activity yet.

Its always very hard to call. I think Arsenal could well win it if they hold it together. They have shown signs last season of finally being able to beat the big teams. But it will depend a lot upon how Chelsea do and they could well do it again. Arsenal are younger and hungrier though and the team has been together for a while now.

We won't make the top 6 if we do well in the Europa league. If we drop out of the EL early (don't be surprised!) then I would say we could get 6th! I think Liverpool could be in for a tough season. SPurs will probably do better or similar to last season. Poch has had a season to sort his team out a lot more now. If they do lose Kane to Utd or someone though (in a shock move ala Delph) then they might be the ones to drop out of the top 6.

Swansea and Stoke I predict to be our main rivals, also Everton since they won't have EL this season. I think Palace will do well and I think West Ham will not make the top 10 and under perform compared to their board's expectations. I think Sunderland could well be fine with Advocaat and having a preseason with a decent manager. West Brom should be fine, depending upon how Berahino does this season under more pressure, they could move up or down the table. Newcastle and Villa will struggle, especially Villa. But for relegation I reckon Norwich could wel stay up. i think Leicester could well drop and do a Hull, and I think Bournemouth and Watford will go down pretty solidly but with a good fight ala Burnley.

I'll stick my neck out with this one:

Arsenal

---------

Chelsea

Utd

City

---------

Spurs

Liverpool

--------

Saints

Swansea

Stoke

Everton

Palace

West Ham

West Brom

Sunderland

Newcastle

Villa

Norwich

--------

Watford

Leicester

Bournemouth

South Coast Rivalry:

Saints v Bournemouth 0-1

Bournemouth vs Saints 1-3

With the spine of our defence gone (MS, NC, TA and FF) I'm surprised some are predicting we'll finish as high, or higher, than last year.

Clyne is not spine, and FF has been adequately replaced by Stek. Assuming we get replacement for Toby, I don't think this is a reason for us not to finish as high as 7th. Europa League might be a reason. I still reckon we will finish in the Top 8 though, perhaps 5th or 6th.

The one thing worth considering for Saints is that if we have a big Europa run, nearly all our matches after EL games (Inc through knockout stages) are against other European qualifiers, ie the top 6.

If we get out of Europe early we'll have an advantage over all of them, if we stay in Europe longer we'll at least be playing teams we'd usually expect to lose to anyway. We could still maintain a challenge just like last season by beating all the bottom half at home and away and picking up a few points against the top sides (at least until the last couple of months).

You can forget all of this if we can't get an excellent CB in though. Neither Yoshida nor Gardos can play more than 15 League games this season and us expect to be in the top half.
