So my wife is a Norwich fan and thinks they're going down this season. I agree. (Though won't say as much to her.)

Who do you think is getting relegated this season from the Prem? And who will go up from the Championship? (Am aware there's a lot of the transfer window to go; predictions can be revisited in September.)

For me, it's Watford, Norwich and Leicester going down, Middlesbrough, Hull and Wolves up.

You?

I think the 3 promoted teams will go straight back down as I don't think they are / will be strong enough. It wouldn't surprise me to see them along with Villa, Sunderland, Leicester and 1 or 2 others who aren't expected to struggle but surprisingly do, in a battle for the drop.

Who will go up? It's a very difficult league to predict. Before last season I certainly wouldn't have put money on Bournemouth winning the league, but if i had to this season, I'm with you in backing Middlesbrough and I think Burnley and Derby will go up with them.

Just had a look at the odds - shows how unpredictable the division is that apart from Rotherham, the best odds you can get for any team is about 20/1. I remember thinking the same last year when I was going to bet on Bournemouth and Boro for promotion but the odds seemed so short for what I thought were two I fancied teams. Brighton 9/1, aren't they relegation candidates?!

I wouldn't be surprised to see one of the League 1 promoted sides in the race, it is a division that momentum often takes out the other end, up or down, as we can testify.

Boro

Brentford (strange decision to oust Warburton but their board have seemed pretty astute up to now)

Preston

Relegation:

Villa

Leicester

Watford

Relegation

Watford to go down. I don't think they will have the squad strength and they are very much a yoyoy team. Happy to take the Prem dosh and good luck to them.

Leicester- They rallied late last season, but looked certain to go down at one stage. Don't think they will repeat the act.

There is usually one team that on one predicts. Villa look to be in a state of chaos, but they have enough to dig themselves clear. Bournemouth may keep clear if they get a good start and strangely, I think their compact stadium may unsettle teams and give them a 'Dell like advantage'. Norwich, similarly do well at Carrow Road, have great team spirit and a decent squad, they may just stay up.

I am going for Sunderland to go down this time.

Going up ? I'll do that next time.

Down - Watford, Norwich and Sunderland (would be nice if it was Liverpool Spurs and West Ham though.... :))

Up - Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley

Indeed, if Carlsberg did Premier Leagues it would be Southampton as Champions and Liverpool, Tottenham and Wham for relegation(not really bothered which of the three to be bottom) Unfortunately I think it will be Watford, Bournemouth and Leicester for the drop, with Middlesbrough, Burnley( if they keep hold of the manager) and Forest promoted.
