Do other teams see us as weak & ripe for picking?

All clubs sell even L'pool lost Sterling when they vowed to keep him and they lost Suarez; Arsenal have lost players to their rivals, Man U lost Ronaldo to Real and so it goes on---our advantage is we have a scheme, home grown and from abroad, to replace them with younger and cheaper and hopefully in the long term they will also be as good or better.

All clubs sell of course, but that's not what "selling club" really means. A selling club is one that bases its business model on the sale of players. The transfer fees form a major part of its revenue. Utd, Arsenal etc don't rely on selling the likes of Ronaldo and Van Persie, so they are not selling clubs.

Given our wage bill is towards the bottom end of the Premier League I really don't see how that would be the case. I can't see us needing to plug losses of £40m a year with player sales.

spurs dont sell 7 players over 2 seasons....or 9 over 3 seasons (or what ever it is). They will sell their star players at a rate of 3 maybe 5 years

Interestingly, the Spurs sold 8 players in each of the last three seasons. You might argue that they were mostly not good players so they weren't trying to keep them. True, but is that really a good point for Spurs--their Slogan: "Spurs--a Top Six Club with very few players good enough to play for the top five clubs."

Only time will tell how they do. Schneiderlin was allowed to play the way he liked with us and the structure took account of that. At MU he will have to compete, adapt and fit in with LVG, that may not be that easy. Making the blend work is the secret ingredient which often fails with a multitude of star players that just don't gel. I'm not so sure it's going to be that easy for them.

Schneiderlin was an attacking midfielder when we signed him, the only reason he got to play the way he wanted was because we'd trained him to be that kind of player. Van Gaal is signing a near finished product and the only thing he'll need to do differently is adapt to a poorer defence behind him, which he can pretty much only do by being as good as he already is. His stats may be less impressive next season as he's probably going to have less to do with United being more likely to have the ball in attack than Saints.
