ZebadeeRust Posted 16 July, 2015 Share Posted 16 July, 2015 The cynic and/or pessimist in me is wondering what the catch is....does seem slightly too good to be true. Good job I'm mainly an optimist though The catch is that he has ACTUALLY signed for Arsenal and they are just loaning him to us for a year. badgerx16 Posted 16 July, 2015 Share Posted 16 July, 2015 Typical BBC b0ll0x - "There have been plenty of players going the other way through the St Mary's stadium revolving doors but this time it's a player coming in." I reckon that there have been 4 out, including Toby ( who wasn't ours ) and Osvaldo, and 5 have so far come in.
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 16 July, 2015 Share Posted 16 July, 2015 My money's on Mane bagging 30 goals this season after watching that The way he flights balls to land softly and give the runner a chance reminds me of the way Petit used to do it for Anelka at Arsenal. The answer must be either 3 (Clyne, Schneiderlin and Osvaldo) or 6 (Alderweireld, Elia and Djuricic). Personally I think 3 is the correct answer. Saint_clark Posted 16 July, 2015 Share Posted 16 July, 2015 Hesitant to judge purely on videos but this guy looks like exactly what we've needed since we came back to the Prem, a central midfielder who can put a ball through for the attackers inch perfect and crack the ball from the edge of the box as well. van Hanegem Posted 16 July, 2015 Share Posted 16 July, 2015 Looks like a bargain right now, but I bet Feyenoord made sure there's a whopping sell on clause! Feyenoord doesn't even know what a whopping sell on clause means... However, the only reliable (as far as that goes..) source in Holland (De Telegraaf) says 9,5 million pounds upfront and 1 million pounds extra when Clasie plays a certain amount of games. So 10,5 million pounds in total, still a bargain for Southampton considering the ridiculous fees for other players in the PL and a fairly good deal for Feyenoord. And a happy Clasie off course... StratfordSaint Posted 16 July, 2015 Share Posted 16 July, 2015 Looks like a bargain right now, but I bet Feyenoord made sure there's a whopping sell on clause! My thoughts exactly. Feyenoord expect us to increase his value, 3 years time likely will get 25% of a £15-20m fee. Pure speculation on my part but can see this scenario. Still good deal though! Clasie shot @ 50:13 1-0 @ 1:04:00 2-0 @ 1:31:30 A little off topic but any of you guys having the privilege to be watch him shine one more time in the most beautiful stadium in the world next week?
