Lallana's Left Peg Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Awful goal to concede. Nice equaliser though!
SuperMikey Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 We go 1-0 down after some dodgy keeping, then equalise straight from the kick off with Juanmi!
suewhistle Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Well done that man! Just got in to see us take the ball out of our net and then equalise.
Matthew Le God Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 ramirez had some nice touches early but gone quiet A compliment!
Saint_Ash Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Great play from Juanmi and great save from their keeper.
Batman Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 great save by their keeper juanmi best player on the park, easily then again, it is the 1st half of the 1st pre season friendly....but looks good
SuperMikey Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 A compliment! He just found out they do hot dogs at the stadium, so he's in a good mood. Good save from their keeper just then to claw Isgrove's header off the line. Looking good on the counter, Juanmi is pretty nippy!
Saint_Ash Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Getting in to the game a bit more, some nice passing.
alpine_saint Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 isgrove has to break through this season. Debayo looks strong but raw
Saint Charlie Posted 8 July, 2015 Author Posted 8 July, 2015 Do you need to sign up for that stream to work?
buctootim Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 I'm liking the oppositions rugby tackles. Should introduce them to the PL imo
buctootim Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Do you need to sign up for that stream to work? no, just navigate through the maze of popups and ads.
Saint Charlie Posted 8 July, 2015 Author Posted 8 July, 2015 no, just navigate through the maze of popups and ads. Cheers!
Mallagroth Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 no, just navigate through the maze of popups and ads. found using chrome can reduce a lot of these ads on stream (but not all of them)
Mallagroth Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 our young defenders aren't covering themselves in glory in this friendly.
Sour Mash Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 I'm liking the oppositions rugby tackles. Should introduce them to the PL imo Juanmi has taken a few heavy challenges as well.
disconnect Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 How tall is Harrison Reed?! Stood next to another player I thought was quite small and looked tiny!
Window Cleaner Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 our young defenders aren't covering themselves in glory in this friendly. And yet the opposition must be somewhere around the level they're used to playing at...or inferior.
VectisSaint Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 ramirez had some nice touches early but gone quiet No change there then.
Sour Mash Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Gallagher doesn't do the job of a target man, the ball doesn't stick.
alpine_saint Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Gallagher looks nervous or reserved, dont know which. Not really seen Gape do anything..
Convict Colony Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Notice the last 15mins i've seen Stekelenburg is always kicking up field rather than playing it out from the back, hence the ball comes right back
shurlock Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Notice the last 15mins i've seen Stekelenburg is always kicking up field rather than playing it out from the back, hence the ball comes right back Because none of our defenders are attempting to play through midfield and are being pressed in going backwards. Much like the England team.
Mallagroth Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Notice the last 15mins i've seen Stekelenburg is always kicking up field rather than playing it out from the back, hence the ball comes right back Got a kick like a mortar, which I havent decided is a good or a bad thing yet. He certainly doesn't seem afraid to come off his line though, which was one of my main criticisms of Forster. Of course this is hardly a match to get a decent assessment.
Sour Mash Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 And yet the opposition must be somewhere around the level they're used to playing at...or inferior. I thought these were in the 2nd German tier? So quite a good level. Doesn't look like they're using their U21s.
VectisSaint Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 And yet the opposition must be somewhere around the level they're used to playing at...or inferior. Bundesliga 2, they came 5th last season, equivalent to our Championship. Would say its a fairly stern test for the kids for a first kick about of the season, much higher standard than we usually start with.
Nolan Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 no, just navigate through the maze of popups and ads. installing the adblock extension on Chrome or Firefox helps with those. You'll be left with just having to find the x to close some non populated frames
Convict Colony Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Got a kick like a mortar, which I havent decided is a good or a bad thing yet. year fairplay he should have a shot at goal he can kick it miles.
shurlock Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Gallagher doesn't do the job of a target man, the ball doesn't stick. For such a lump, his ability in the air has always been a bit disappointing.
stevegrant Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 One thing to bear in mind, along with the fact our lineup is very much a second-string, is that Leipzig's league season starts two weeks before ours, so they're already well into their preparation. No idea whether the team they've named this evening is full-strength or otherwise, but they've spent a relative fortune compared to their rivals. More than €10m spent as a 2nd Division team, would expect the other 17 teams to struggle to spend that much between them.
Convict Colony Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 I also noticed that we seem to be trialling some lilliputians in midfield
Mallagroth Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 Should be an interesting second half, McQueen and Isgrove both looked decent last pre-season, will be interesting to see how they do over the next few games.
Matthew Le God Posted 8 July, 2015 Posted 8 July, 2015 And yet the opposition must be somewhere around the level they're used to playing at...or inferior. Leipzig came 5th in the German 2nd tier last season. I haven't looked to check how strong a line-up they've used today, but the club is at a decent level.

Red Bull dont muck about with their sponsorship. will be at top level in a few yrs
