Don Logan Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Surprise Surprise Why bother to take him No way was he ever going to play in a match and risk a transfer threatening injury Just put a "For Sale" notice up outside the players entrance and get on with it Everyone who's shelled out hard earnt money on a ST can moan about it during the season Your life must be a ball of fun........have you ever dared to be positive or optimistic about anything in what appears to be your rather depressing life?
Monk Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 I'd love to see the stats for how often we shoot from further than 12yards out' date=' particularly our strikers. I'd wager than it's significantly lower than other teams.[/quote'] I've mentioned this to a member of staff from another club, we was in the bottom five last season of clubs to shoot from 12+ yards!
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Stats show that the vast majority of goals, all goals, are scored within something like 6 yards of the goal. I know I'm being vague but I don't commit this stuff to memory. Point is, shooting from distance doesn't tend to produce anything like the number of goals that close range does. Yeah I'm sure, just seems we overplay it sometimes.
Monk Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Did Martina actually touch the ball in that half? Yes and fell over it too.
Matthew Le God Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 I'd love to see the stats for how often we shoot from further than 12yards out' date=' particularly our strikers. Lighthouse Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 the kit does look good Looks even better in real life IMO. Wasn't sure about the shade of green but when I saw it in the Megastore the other day it looked awesome.
Convict Colony Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Gaston is working hard so far which is a plus
Graffito Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Yeah I'm sure' date=' just seems we overplay it sometimes.[/quote'] I know what you mean. It feels that way when it doesn't come off. That 45 showed again the difficulty of creating openings. Bit unfair as early doors and everyone is rusty but it's been a bit of an issue for a few seasons now.
shurlock Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Saints were the 6th top scorers in the Premier League in 2014/15. So what Saints were doing clearly is working relatively well. How about without two complete outliers. You really do talk utter ****
Toon Saint Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 I actually like the green kit. Gaston's hair is also much improved.
Convict Colony Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Gape hasn't impressed in the 2 games I've seen so far, lets hope he grows into this game.
BotleySaint Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Not looking that good so far. They are in control.
Saint Charlie Posted 11 July, 2015 Author Posted 11 July, 2015 Poor so far in this game. Seem to just have defence and attack.

Convict Colony Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Tadic that was a terrible free kick it hit the guys in their waists
Lighthouse Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Did he just call the goal keeper 'the kell keeper'?
TwoPints Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Why didn't he just hit it? Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
TwoPints Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Keepers doing OK Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
Saint-Armstrong Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 GOAL: Salzburg 1-0 Southampton - Nielsen 19'
Saint Charlie Posted 11 July, 2015 Author Posted 11 July, 2015 Getting mugged off by having no central midfield and wide players not tracking back.
Convict Colony Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 Its ironic that both goalkeepers have played well in these games. Getting overrun in midfield and sloppy passing, no retention of possession.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 11 July, 2015 Posted 11 July, 2015 GOAL: Salzburg 2-0 Southampton - Oberlin 22'
