hypochondriac Posted 6 July, 2015 Posted 6 July, 2015 In terms of attacking players it may have balanced out already... 2014/15 squad - Djuricic & Elia 2015/16 squad - Rodriguez & Juanmi (plus potentially Ramirez) Juanmi isn't the same player as Elia. Plus we need greater strength in depth this year for Europa. I'm confident we will bring in another attacking player.

I'm confident we will bring in another attacking player. Why do they have to be exactly the same type of player? How do you think Juanmi differs from Elia? Juanmi has played on the left as an attacking player. Elia was often used on the left, that is where Rodriguez was so effective in 2013/14 and has now returned. Plus we still don't know for sure what is happening with Ramirez; with him, Rodriguez and Juanmi added to the squad we'd be +1 in numbers in terms of attacking players. Plus Gallagher is fit again and Seager is progressing well.

Because if you don't see him going out wide and he'll play centrally, then I guess you don't think we need another striker. Mane, Long, Elia and Tadic all cut inside in Koeman's system.

They cut in far less than those roles did under Poch and other systems that play 1 up front, with 3 behind.
