The Cat Posted 2 July, 2015 Share Posted 2 July, 2015 I'd have thought they'd want as wide a range as possible getting a taste of going to matches than the same few hundred every game, so not sure on that one. Fair point. Those that only go once or twice a season often load up at the megastore too. My thinking is that once you start going regularly as a kid you will carry that on and are more likely to buy season tickets as an adult. Those who go randomly may not quite get the same bug. Maybe the price increases is partly because the family stand is, evening games aside, often the easiest to sell out and the club are confident that will be the same even with an increase on single match tickets. There must be some business logic in halving ST prices but increasing match tickets or they wouldn't have done it.

The9 Posted 2 July, 2015 Share Posted 2 July, 2015 I don't see your point? Would you pay to watch a game you know the result of? Would you pay to watch a movie in the cinema you had already seen? The drama is part of football, whether your team is rubbish and playing boring football (I always remember saints vs wolves ending 0-0) or playing great stuff you go to support them... At at the end of the day, a local derby and the last game of the season at sms should provide some of the best atmospheres and therefore an enjoyable experience. Therefore I don't particularly mind the pricing. Probably worth mentioning that people are only complaining about the price for these games because they want to go to them and they're re therefore desirable games... if it was Norwich away I doubt anyone would be moaning. You said they'll "probably be great games and worth the money". They could be utterly terrible games, but they've still got your money whether it was "worth it" or not. You don't get any guarantees with football, so claiming matches will be "great" to justify the money is completely ridiculous, as you have no idea if they'll be great. Equally, if you are paying to support your club irrespective of quality of games, then the quality of football is irrelevant to you, so there's no need to claim the games will need to be great to be worth the money, as you get your opinion of your money's worth just by being there. That's my point.
