Saint Rees Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 Started now http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2016/draws/round=2000656/index.html
The9 Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 all the potential opponents have pretty small grounds if we go Dutch/Belgium/Austrian I can see demand being high How do you think tickets will be allocated - a free for all among season ticket holders or based on last year's away games? ST holders with 5+ aways last season, then 3+ aways, then Members, then General, I'm guessing.
stevegrant Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 I appreciate that; rather I wanted to see the pool from which the 15 would be chosen. Does our coefficient improve if we win our third round match; and conversely does the coefficient of those knocked out of the CL QR worsen? No, every team's coefficient is fixed for the duration of the competition to the figure calculated at the end of last season, so ours will remain at 16.078 for the duration of this season, but will be higher next season unless every English team gets buggered in both competitions this season. How much higher largely depends on our own performance. If we get knocked out in 3Q, we only get 1 coefficient point of our own, 1.5 for playoff round elimination, and then we get 2 points per group stage win and 1 point for a draw (with a guaranteed minimum of 2 points). Extra points then awarded for quarter-final, semi-final and final participation. Doesn't look like you get anything for being in the first two knockout rounds.
shurlock Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 That's the Champions League draw (at noon "definitely not CET"). Ours is therefore at 1pm "definitely not CET"). So 1pm BST. It's now, isn't it? Not 1pm.
Chez Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 That's the Champions League draw (at noon "definitely not CET"). Ours is therefore at 1pm "definitely not CET"). So 1pm BST. I think it's the same link for the Europa League draw, but if you are desperate to have the words `europa league' in the url then it's: http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2016/draws/index.html
Sour Mash Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 It's now, isn't it? Not 1pm. Yeah, its on now, uefa website.
Sour Mash Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 CL first starting now (12 UK time), Europa league afterwards I guess. Its the Europa now I think.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 Aberdeen lined up for a trip to Kazakhstan...
Mattio Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 What number are we? Sorry its probably been asked 100 times but I'm not reading this whole thing! EDIT - dont worry seen below the vid
The9 Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 It's now, isn't it? Not 1pm. Yes, they've just segued into it, ffs.
Marsdinho Posted 17 July, 2015 Author Posted 17 July, 2015 Ideally, it would go on sale first to those who went to Bucharest. As I couldn't get to any away games last season.
DuncanRG Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 Not sure If I'm pleased or disappointed to have dodged Jerusalem.
Mattio Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 I've not got a bloody clue how this works, such an odd system
Saint-Armstrong Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 Southampton FC (ENG) vs Vitesse Arnhem (NED)
igsey Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 Southampton home first leg against Vitesse - Netherlands!
Batman Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 ties in nicely with your friendlies in holland then.. nice draw and not far to go either
Sour Mash Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 Tough game, eay journey. Would have rather have gone to Albania for the crack. We'll take f****g loads over there. No-way our fixture will change around?
dello Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 hmmm definite banana slip that one- toughest possible opponent for sure...
Sour Mash Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 At least it makes it quite a big game now, rather than a bit of a "nothing" friendly type atmosphere.
ErwinK1961 Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 FFS. Hardest draw possible, plus at home first so I miss it as on holiday What a load of w*nk.
Colinjb Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 If we do beat them it will certainly get our co-efficient up.
Katalinic Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 So on the basis of first leg results it will in all probability be one of: 7 Vitesse (NED) 8 SK Sturm Graz (AUT) 9 R. Charleroi SC (BEL) 10 FK Vojvodina (SRB) 11 Odds BK (NOR) 12 FK Mladost Podgorica (MNE) Bound to be Vitesse on the basis RK has managed them. Mladost Podgorica would probably be the easiest tie (stadium capacity is only 2000). Bloody knew it. Still, Arnhem fans will probably be ****ed off too.
SuperSAINT Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 Good job we're going to get some practice in vs Dutch opponents soon then!
Batman Posted 17 July, 2015 Posted 17 July, 2015 what are we worried about. we should beat these. we are a team with fans who think that liverpool and spurs are not a step up, we plunder that league for many of its best players and we talk up champions league football for us we surely will not go out first hurdle AGAIN
