The Official Saints European Tour 2015 / 16 Thread - Died Peacefully 27/08/2015

Kick off times seem quite random in this round. Ordabasy Shymkemp v Beitar Jerusalem is at 1pm uk time no doubt much later over there. Big game that one.

6pm our time that. Early kick off. Not much time for the Ordabasy fans to knock off work and get a few pints in before the game.

That's a useful link The Cat. Brondby game still on - up to 8 when I just looked against S. Marino customs' team. Broughton - isn't that effectively the Airbus works team - 1-0 up against Lokomotive Zagreb, but Bala losing. A trip to St. Johnstone also looks unlikelier! Fascinating to see who we might get and then trying to work out where they are!...

All the scores are here:

http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/

A stonking 6-0 win for Brondby.

Sheriff 0-3 Odd is my favourite scoreline so far.

Brondby are actually still playing, leading the Sammarinese side 8-0 now in the last minute.]

I'm unimpressed with the opportunity for teams to change the date to Tuesday or Wednesday AND to switch the draw (as West Ham have) to change who plays home or away and when, that's an absolute sod for trying to plan travel. :(

Oh, Brondby have scored whilst I've been typing. 9-0 now.

Lokomotiv just equalised.

I thought Sheriff were meant to be half decent.

We could be drawn against Brondby, would be a relatively tough one.

Bit of a surprise, the Sheriff score, they've been in CL group stage recently. Odd are no mugs though.

For genuine big Europa League fans, Aberdeen's match is on Premier Sport later - some VirginMedia people might find they have that for free now, used to be subscription only.

Red Star Belgrade 0-2 FC Kiriat of Kazhakstan :uhoh:

They are the boys near the Chinese border, at least if we draw them it's all you can eat chicken fried rice all round for the travelling fans. Well up for that one but shocked to see Red Star lose at home.

£10 a pop.

As discussed earlier in the thread, £10 if you bought in advance or £20 on the night - hence the sell out from people not wanting to pay twice the price, and worrying others would get in first due to the much cheapness.

They also announced their team in advance - but not until it had already sold out. :D

Yeah, THAT'S not a club being helpful - from what I've looked into with far-eastern UEFA nations it's a mark up of at least a couple of hundred quid on the actual cost with indirect flights, though the travel time via indirect flights from Baltic States or via Moscow had lengthy layovers and you were lucky to make it there in under 30 hours all in.

If they get through tonight they are off to Kasakhstan in next round

Wonder how much that will cost ?

Most of the cost is for a seat on the chartered team plane. Since the plane was going anyway and already paid for the club could have just charged a reasonable amount or even had a free draw for tickets. But nah

I don't think these early rounds do. The groups and knock outs do though.

Not even on UEFAs website or something? Is it entirely behind closed doors, or is it announced as it's happening on twitter?

 How small time, getting excited about the draw for the third qualifying round...

If i'm honest, I've never in my life followed the third round draw online. I didn't even have the internet in 2003 (go me).

I think you have missed some information from here, as I know for a fact that RANDERS(DEN) are playing Anders Svensson's ELFSBORG(SWE) in the 2nd round. An Anders return to St. Marys would be wonderful...

Elfsborg will be seeded in our round, so we can't be drawn against them.

I take it that if we're drawn next Friday against an 'either/or' pair of times, will we at least know which dates we'd be home/away? Would the club confirm this, with no late, subsequent changes?

Depends if the team we draw has another team in the same city, then it could be a late change either way, long shot though.

It depends on location, west ham only found out last night as if both Malta clubs went through their game (1st leg next week) would be switched. Lucky for them Valletta went out but even still they couldn't book up.

Iceland is another problem country. Its due to number of uefa suitable stadiums to use. As we go through the rounds most clubs left will be able to use their own grounds.
