nick1579 Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Jug-tastic (I like to think there's always time for a bit of bird-spotting, no matter what the situation)
andysstuff Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Legoland it is. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
Saint-Armstrong Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Off to Denmark! At home first, which suits us I think.
Saint Charlie Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 They won the Danish league last year. Good to have another short ish trip.
Danish Saint Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Midtjylland is a fusion club between Ikast and Herning. Home stadium is in Herning. They won the Danish Leauge last year and have a very good Academy policy like Saints. Flights into Copenhagen with trains running to Herning
st alex Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 again it looks like the hardest draw we could have got. At least it should be a nice place to visit.
Danish Saint Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Player to look for is Pione Sisto - very good midfielder.

Saint-Armstrong Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 The Danish champions. Owned by the Brentford owner, Matthew Benham, and use the same 'moneyball' philosophy.
Saint_clark Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 I spotted her too - top notch! Rule 1 for those of us not watching
mrfahaji Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Think they are the Danish champions, could be a tough game. But in terms of travel it must be the best (or second best) possible tie.
Saint_Ash Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Pleased we are at home first as I'm away for the away leg. Bit of a tougher test this one, looking forward to it already.
Batman Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Away to Watford on the 23rd August Home to Norwich 30th August not bad and not far to go. You have to have a very good chance of going through. we are the better side
Saint-Armstrong Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 First two messages I received after the draw... From a radio presenter in Sunderland: Paolo Di Canio's Sunderland beat them in last pre season friendly of his tenure. They were mid season too. You'll be ok! From a Danish fan: Good draw for you guys. FCM had a great season last year, but no real european experience. Boring city though.
ericofarabia Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Off to Denmark! At home first, which suits us I think. Screws up my leave plans, was hoping for a long weekend in Southampton to take in The Euro match and Norwich match. Cat in hells chance of getting to the away game for 99% of us Back to the drawing board and gamble on getting a Watford ticket ....
Pass the Dutchie Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 They beat Manchester City in Manchester, back in 2008 (I'm reading the same Wiki page as everyone). Good draw. Close distance (very important) and winnable under normal circumstances. The Danish league isn't better than the Dutch.
Badger Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Player to look for is Pione Sisto - very good midfielder. We were linked at one stage in the summer to one of their CBs, Patrick Bangaard.

SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2016/clubs/club=75795/index.html Their Europa history..been in it a lot.So not to be taken lightly I think.

Just posted as it was what Google recommended and it looked a nightmare (a propeller plane FFS!) But others seem to think it may be easier than i first thought

trousers Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Slightly unusual choice of cover photo on their Twitter page. Assume that's not their pitch?
dubai_phil Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Billund lovely. Can take in Legoland for some excitement.
Lazlo78 Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 The Danish league isn't better than the Dutch. The Danish league is considerably worse than the Dutch. Promising young Danish talents use the Dutch league as a step up, and if they do well there, they can move to an even bigger league. Like Christian Eriksen with Ajax (and countless others of whom most failed miserably and went back to Denmark...). Loving that we drew a Danish team though my chances of getting a ticket is slim to none...

But others seem to think it may be easier than i first thought You're not likely to get a jet from SOU to ORY, it's no further away than Manchester. There's a flight from LGW to Aalborg too, which is another way of doing it. 1 hour 45 drive from Midgetland.
Whitey Grandad Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Meget godt! I have been to Denmark many times and it would be good to go there again. I see a road trip coming on with a few days taking the Mrs up the north at Skagen. It's a pity the Esbjerg ferry has stopped because it's a day's drive from the Hook of Holland. I have driven it from Chandlers Ford in one day a couple of times but I was younger then. What do we reckon are the chances of an away ticket?
SOTONS EAST SIDE Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 (edited) http://www.netflights.com to Billund with 1 stop from Gatwick £187. Or from Stansted to Billund direct with Ryanair £71 morning flight Edited 7 August, 2015 by SOTONS EAST SIDE
SO16_Saint Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Just looked on booking.com and a message flashed up saying prices had increased in the last 2 hours.... Wonder why!!
Colinjb Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 Regardless of their league, Midtylland are not to be underestimated. Looking forward to it.

VectisSaint Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 and it looked a nightmare (a propeller plane FFS!) Chocks away Ginger, get the old girl up in the air. Its actually a Dash-8, no need to worry.
alpine_saint Posted 7 August, 2015 Posted 7 August, 2015 I am just glad we didnt get Astra. English teams dont do well against Romanians.
