West Ham qualified with a fair play wildcard, we qualified by league position and were exempt to the third qualifying round. Would that place us above West Ham in the seeding list?

The regulations don't refer to that.

2015-16 UEFA Europa League Regulations

http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/Regulations/uefaorg/Regulations/02/23/69/59/2236959_DOWNLOAD.pdf

D.7 Equal coefficients

If two or more clubs or associations are ranked equally, the following criteria are

applied, in the order given, to determine their final rankings:

● their coefficients in the most recent of the seasons on which the rankings are

based;

● their coefficients in the next most recent season in which they are not equal;

● drawing of lots.

Bearing in mind both of us have the same ranking this season due to not having any previous European ranking points (and adopting the base England national coefficient which this season is 16.078 ). West Ham qualified more recently due to losing the 2006 FA Cup Final, so the first season counting backwards to meet "next most recent in which they are not equal" would be the last time those points counted, to give them more than us.

In theory. They COULD say neither club has a recent enough historical record for it to count, and just draw lots if necessary.

They have Saints flags and Union Jacks flying around the main square in Arnhem already! Nice touch. Would post a picture if I could figure out how to.

Click the picture icon next to the roll of film - Browse to the file or add the URL if it's already online elsewhere - it'll upload it and host it on Saintsweb for you now as long as you leave the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" tick box ticked.

Were there coefficients in 2006?

It does seem a tad odd that UEFA seemingly don't take the most obvious differentiating factor into account. Clubs that compete in later qualifying rounds are in those rounds precisely because, last season, they outperformed the teams in the earlier rounds, ergo they should be considered the better team when it comes to seeding. However, that would be logical and this is UEFA we are talking about :)

Looks like they have been put up by the locals, if so they really are going out of their way to be very welcoming

I have 2 tickets available in Blk 121, like others on here they will have to be collected from the stadium. The tickets will be free of charge but you will have to organise and pay for a taxi to and from the ground to collect them as I don't want to spend half the day trekking around Arnhem!. I'll be in Arnhem from 2pm onwards tomorrow. Email me at mdjw76@hotmail.com

Will they be serving quiche at the village fete? Maybe a nice lemon drizzle cake?

You can win tickets for the away end in the tombola.

Just out of curiosity, what is that area called with the flags? Is that Korenmarkt, or somewhere else?

The flags are in jansplaats

Astana scored a last minute winner to beat HJK in their Champions League tie so HJK drop down into the Europa League play-off round. But both teams had a lower co-efficient than Saints so it didn't really matter which one went through (although from an away fan's perspective, Helsinki is better to go to than Astana!)

Qarabag v Celtic kicks off at 5.30pm and that one is important, we need a Celtic win.

In terms of seedings and how it affects us, there are 4 games tonight that can impact our seeding. If the 4 higher-seeded teams all win we will then be 24th highest ranked going into the Europa games tomorrow (assuming West Ham are above us on technicality). We will then need to games to go "against form" in the Europa to get us into the magic 22nd position.

Tonights important games

Qarabag v Celtic - need Celtic to win (1st leg 0-1)

BATE v Videoton - need BATE to win (1st leg 1-1)

Partizan v Steaua - need Steaua to win (1st leg 1-1)

Malmo v Salzburg - need Salzburg to win (1st leg 0-2)

Only feel confident about 2 of the Europa League "swing" games tomorrow (Vojvodina & Minsk), so really need all 4 CL games to go our way tonight.

Celtic have defended pretty well here

Is Azerbajan a dangerous place? The amount of army stood around the front of the crowd and then the amount of police in every gangway is amazing! Bet they have no trouble getting the fans to sit down. (Hopefully we don't get drawn there in the play off round)

For the rest of the evening.

BATE currently 0-0 at half time so ahead on away goals.

Other games kick off at 7.30
