Hatch Posted 17 June, 2015 Posted 17 June, 2015 Playing for Serbia u21s on BT1 if anyone is interested to see how he gets on.
BARCELONASAINT Posted 17 June, 2015 Posted 17 June, 2015 he is playing very well at the moment and very well taken goal
Sour Mash Posted 17 June, 2015 Posted 17 June, 2015 I always thought he looked decent. A bit like JWP, he might look better at the U21s, not as physical or intense as the Prem.
sad saints fan Posted 17 June, 2015 Posted 17 June, 2015 Have we definitely not taken up the option to sign him permanently
SaintLiam Posted 17 June, 2015 Posted 17 June, 2015 Have we definitely not taken up the option to sign him permanently Hope so. He's a 'potential' player, probably going to get more out of him, same as Juanmi difference with Elia is that he's 28 and probably not getting any better.
the saint in winchester Posted 17 June, 2015 Posted 17 June, 2015 Have we definitely not taken up the option to sign him permanently I read into the words on the BBC match report "Former Southampton loanee Djuricic ...." Of course, it could be explained that the loan officially ended on (date) and we may decide to make an offer or ask for a new loan .... but interesting use of words by the BBC.
Saint_clark Posted 18 June, 2015 Posted 18 June, 2015 Never looked like doing that for us, what a run Brought down twice through on goal V Liverpool, great run for the 6th V Villa, didn't get a whole lot of opportunities but the one thing he always did was run well with the ball.
benjii Posted 18 June, 2015 Posted 18 June, 2015 Brought down twice through on goal V Liverpool, great run for the 6th V Villa, didn't get a whole lot of opportunities but the one thing he always did was run well with the ball. Agreed. If Kevin Friend had reffed that match properly we would probably have won (in addition to at least one penalty they should have had at least one red card) and would quite possibly have finished 5th or 6th as we would have punctured Liverpool's momentum and regained some of our own. Djuricic would then be remembered as someone who contributed well to our season.
saintstr1 Posted 18 June, 2015 Posted 18 June, 2015 Must be worth a punt at the right price, we will need more bodies next season with the europa games. Young enough to improve greatly and looking good at international level.
Nolan Posted 18 June, 2015 Posted 18 June, 2015 I read into the words on the BBC match report "Former Southampton loanee Djuricic ...." Of course, it could be explained that the loan officially ended on (date) and we may decide to make an offer or ask for a new loan .... but interesting use of words by the BBC. But the official Saints twitter account was mentioning Djuricic and the game just before kick off.
Whitey Grandad Posted 18 June, 2015 Posted 18 June, 2015 I suspect he's still a person of interest but any decision would depend on other possible acquisitions.
Special K Posted 18 June, 2015 Posted 18 June, 2015 Rate him highly. Would like to see him on a permanent deal. Plenty to offer with the right coaching and oppertunities
Block34 Posted 18 June, 2015 Posted 18 June, 2015 And then this.... https://www.clubcall.com/southampton/turkish-offer-for-saints-loan-man-1772618.html?
krissyboy31 Posted 20 June, 2015 Posted 20 June, 2015 How come, Serbian football has suddenly got so good. There U20s just beat Brazil in the FIFA U20 World Cup final in Auckland.
Faz Posted 20 June, 2015 Posted 20 June, 2015 I think the signing of Juanmi has put a nail in this particular coffin
John Boy Saint Posted 20 June, 2015 Posted 20 June, 2015 Strange one really as for us a good pre season better integrated with the team I think he could be a bit useful, but then mid way through his loan with us he did say that he felt his business at Benfica was unfinished, there is no doubt he has ability.
