sussexsaint Posted 15 June, 2015 Share Posted 15 June, 2015 Just done this for me and the boy. Not able to commit to a season ticket. Hopefully means we'll have a better chance of getting to the games we can though. Anyone else doing it this year ?
The9 Posted 15 June, 2015 Share Posted 15 June, 2015 No, I'm a ST holder and I don't think it'll give me anything over that. I look forward to the other 3,000 responses to this.

syd_barrett_saint Posted 15 June, 2015 Share Posted 15 June, 2015 Do you think that membership would increase my chances of getting a ticket to the Europa league qualifiers on July 30th and August 6th? I'll only be back in England/Europe for that time window, so they would be the only games I could get to in the next year.

To be honest I doubt you'd need a membership to guarantee tickets for those games. The first home match of any season struggles to sell out so as long as you are on the database and call up the day they go on sale you should be fine. As far as the away game goes, despite the fact we have very good travelling support I'd imagine a trip abroad will be a stretch for a lot of people. ScottishSaint79 Posted 15 June, 2015 Share Posted 15 June, 2015 Yeah I got one. Can't commit to season ticket as have my kids staying every other weekend so would miss loads of games. Seems next best option.

I might not bother with the membership then. I suppose there might be the possibility of another trip home during the season, but probably not worth getting the membership now just on the off-chance of that. bender Posted 15 June, 2015 Share Posted 15 June, 2015 I've currently got a login for tickets with 2 friends as my 'friends and family.' If I get a membership would I only be able to get priority for me? It seems unless I pay £75 for 3 memberships, I'll only be able to buy one ticket then 2 more later when they go on general. sussexsaint Posted 15 June, 2015 Author Share Posted 15 June, 2015 Its pathetic , but it also makes me feel more connected to the club. As a kid I was always a 'junior Saint' or whatever it was called. Sure the boy will like carrying his card about.

Yes, I believe the T&Cs state that its a '1 member, 1 ticket' scheme

Yes, the whole point of it will be one membership = opportunity to buy one ticket.

It is a bit of a gamble, but the Europa game will be a Thursday night and midweek games are even worse than opening day ones due to people working who can't get there in addition to the usual summer holiday impact. I wouldn't be surprised to see the club offer a home Europa League season ticket allowing them to debit you for every round, though that would be pretty advanced for them. I'm just looking forward to the ructions when they announce the criteria for the home and away EL matches, given that they'll have to go back to last season for qualifying number of games and as it's a cup game everyone will have to physically order the ticket(s)... at least they have the option of selling tickets for the tie on the date, rather than the opponents... they could easily shift 25,000 of them now even without the opposition being known. Come to think of it, it's not that likely there will be a big away attendance for a lot of the potential opponents, so we could have a block or two (43/44) more Saints fans in there.
