Saint-Armstrong Posted 11 June, 2015 Posted 11 June, 2015 (edited) Just a heads up - the bright and early bird catches the worm... Edited 11 June, 2015 by Saint-Armstrong
CB Fry Posted 11 June, 2015 Posted 11 June, 2015 I'll be green with envy of anyone that sees it before me.
JxgrSaint Posted 11 June, 2015 Posted 11 June, 2015 Green with envy and feeling blue to be precise...
Colinjb Posted 11 June, 2015 Posted 11 June, 2015 Bright? Early? Worm? It's going to be a bizarre yellow/sky blue/brown thing isn't it.
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 11 June, 2015 Posted 11 June, 2015 Just a heads up - the bright and early bird catches the worm... Why don't you just post saying new away kit being revealed tomorrow morning?

um pahars Posted 11 June, 2015 Posted 11 June, 2015 Not sure it's going to be received very well on here!!
S-Clarke Posted 11 June, 2015 Posted 11 June, 2015 Not sure it's going to be received very well on here!! Come on, we need something to moan about. We're into mid June now, and still nothing major to complain about. Chomping at the bit.
Saint Billy Posted 11 June, 2015 Posted 11 June, 2015 Not sure it's going to be received very well on here!! If its green it won't.
sotonjoe Posted 11 June, 2015 Posted 11 June, 2015 Because he's a wannabe Alex Crook and loves the attention.
EBS1980 Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Well I'm up and no announcement! I suggest it's not a very early bird that catches this news story ;-)
Saint-Armstrong Posted 12 June, 2015 Author Posted 12 June, 2015 (edited) Saw the actual shirt earlier this week, and the shade of green is basically fluorescent, with a dark navy sash. More photos of the new kit in today's Daily Echo, btw. Edited 12 June, 2015 by Saint-Armstrong
CB Fry Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Don't particularly like it, and the fact other clubs have also announced green away kits means it's just a bit of a fad industry wide, like the great cream/beige craze of the mid nineties.
alehouseboys Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Smart. Just like we knew it would be. Not a shirt wearer myself, but will be popular IMO. And for the fashion concious, goes a bit better with denim than red and white stripes!

And for the fashion concious, goes a bit better with denim than red and white stripes! Er, not sure you'll be saying that when you see it in the flesh. It's a bit... loud, and in your face.
thorpie the sinner Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Blimey Trousers, that got the sleepy dust from my eyes lol!!!!
suewhistle Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 I wondered why I couldn't get back to sleep after my early morning pee today - I normally have no problems - but it must have been the green glow to the West.
St Louis Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Er, not sure you'll be saying that when you see it in the flesh. It's a bit... loud, and in your face. Maybe there is some truth behind the Seattle Sounders tie-in rumours? Looks very close to their colours, and Ralph hinted in his interview this week that he fees we will grow further in the U.S. (But couldn't say anymore at this stage)
alehouseboys Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Er, not sure you'll be saying that when you see it in the flesh. It's a bit... loud, and in your face. Looks OK in the photo but as you've seen it up close and saying 'fluorescent', then maybe you're right.

And for the fashion concious, goes a bit better with denim than red and white stripes! As my mother always said "blue and green should never be seen, without a colour in between"
Wade Garrett Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 As my mother always said "blue and green should never be seen, without a colour in between" My mum used to say to me 'if you don't leave it alone, it'll fall off'. Happy days.
Shance Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Nice. I like it. This is what away kits should be about. Home to keep the tradition and away to break the mould and try something new.
Saint Charlie Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 (edited) The heavily edited version in that OS picture is nice... Edited 12 June, 2015 by Saint Charlie
Saint-Armstrong Posted 12 June, 2015 Author Posted 12 June, 2015 (edited) Photoshoot photos seem to be 'dulled', whereas the home kit photoshoot was 'brightened'. Edited 12 June, 2015 by Saint-Armstrong
Saint Charlie Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Slime green. Darker green would be so much better. Probably the worst away since the white one we could never wear. But its just a kit so doesnt really matter. Odd that the club have edited the pic on the OS to make it seem a different shade of green than it actually is.
Brave Sir Robin Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Great. I can't get the Thunderbirds music out of my head now.
The Cat Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 The kids said it was "cool" which is fine because, let's face it, they are the age group these things should be aimed at.
Wrensup Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 The shade of green in the photo looks good, the actual shade of green probably looks ****
fez Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 hmmm, if the green makes our players blend in with the grass, is that bad because it'll be harder for them to pick out team-mates for passing and crossing? Or good because we can make stealthy runs without the other side spotting us? I imagine that our sports scientists have worked that one out.
Turkish Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Don't particularly like it, and the fact other clubs have also announced green away kits means it's just a bit of a fad industry wide, like the great cream/beige craze of the mid nineties. I think you'll find it was an Ecru craze lead by us and Liverhampton (that always cracks me up) Smart. Just like we knew it would be. Not a shirt wearer myself, but will be popular IMO. And for the fashion concious, goes a bit better with denim than red and white stripes! The fashion conscious, or anyone over the age of 10 who isn't and obese, scruffy, odd ball wouldn't wear a football shirt with jeans Saw the actual shirt earlier this week, and the shade of green is basically fluorescent, with a dark navy sash. More photos of the new kit in today's Daily Echo, btw. Whose twitter feed was that on?
sandwichsaint Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Would have made a cracking red and white home kit. I like it, and can I be the first to say, hopefully there's a yellow and blue third kit we can buy too.
Plastic Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Ugly but memorable. Players look a bit like jockeys.
fanimal Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Truly awful and the players look guilty wearing it if you ask me. Very disappointing.
eddie Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 seems to be a bit of a trend. stoke and west hams away kits last year were pretty similar
Saint_Ash Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 I love a marmite shirt. I personally like it, something different.
The9 Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Don't particularly like it, and the fact other clubs have also announced green away kits means it's just a bit of a fad industry wide, like the great cream/beige craze of the mid nineties. That's ecru to you.
The9 Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 seems to be a bit of a trend. stoke and west hams away kits last year were pretty similar That's Stoke's this year (and it's black with a green sash). West Ham didn't have a green kit last year either. Now Swansea this season...
The9 Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Seeing as we all saw it leaked in February it's hardly a surprise, and I'd already decided I liked it. VERY Seattle Sounders, now what was that Paul Allen rumour again...?
sussexsaint Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 like marmite, fecking hate this kit. Is it a new tactic to make them believe we have 11 goalies ?
andoru Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Quite like it, I suppose. The fluorescence should come in handy during evening games in the dark.
a1ex2001 Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Can't stand it the green and blue combo is horrible and the way the sash stops before the shoulder strips and doesn't flow to the bottom of the shirt when it hits the seam to the back looks really cheap! Oh well it's only an away kit for a season just can't help but think the same think in yellow and blue would have looked nicer and it wasn't like I was going to buy one anyway!
mrfahaji Posted 12 June, 2015 Posted 12 June, 2015 Not a patch on the Muvi kit from this season (2014/15).
