Window Cleaner Posted 10 June, 2015 Share Posted 10 June, 2015 (edited) Don't you think that with all these social media outlets that transfer speculation is just getting wilder and wilder. I mean some of it used to be factual, now it's 99.9% bolloaks. Had a look through some of it this afternoon, it's just gotten out of hand. To think that fools lose money to bookies because of these "certs" is just shameful. Best bet ? Bet on every player that the on line turf accounts quote to stay with the club he's actually with. I mean you could get really good odds on Dani Alves signing back on at Barca a week ago, Morgan at 6/1 to stay at Saints looks like a good deal as well. Redslo Posted 10 June, 2015 Share Posted 10 June, 2015 Might as well accept it as fact now. I think we can still turn this around. Everyone should go about and post or tweet or whatever that Mane is definitely not leaving Southampton this summer. If we can all do that as a group it will become not true again. hasper57saint Posted 10 June, 2015 Share Posted 10 June, 2015 I agree with Window Cleaner. The Mirror reports "Chelsea have first refusal on Toby" Strange that as I thought we had that after his loan or his parent Club would have to pay the severance. CityRanger Posted 10 June, 2015 Share Posted 10 June, 2015 They've obviously not seen this thread: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?52647-Mane#.VXgg0PlVhBc Does Pep Guardiola not realise that Mane is "conference standard at best"? The Mirror reports "Chelsea have first refusal on Toby" Strange that as I thought we had that after his loan or his parent Club would have to pay the severance. Perhaps it's a weeny bit more complicated than that. From the little I"ve seen of it in the Spanish press the "default amount" and the loan fee were roughly equal. Perhaps we didn't pay them the loan fee initially and it would have been added to the transfer fee in the event of a permanent deal this summer. So perhaps we haven't paid them and they thus don't need to pay us at all before selling him on to the highest bidder.
sotonjoe Posted 11 June, 2015 Share Posted 11 June, 2015 In which case, best to hold until we actually see some evidence the article exists... Ok Connor, thanks for advising us all on how to handle the situation.
david in sweden Posted 13 June, 2015 Share Posted 13 June, 2015 "SPORT BILD learned: Because Manchester Ángel Di María and Atlético Madrid Antoine Griezmann are so expensive, the Bayern bosses videos of Sadio Mané from Southampton were put together. Mané is worth according transfermarkt.de 14 million, however, is considered as not simple character" They're going to be in for a surprise if they think Mane will be a cheap option. There is no way he will go for £11m ......especially as I think we paid £12 million for him in the first place....... Think of another number ...and double it......(and pounds - not Euros.) Redslo Posted 14 June, 2015 Share Posted 14 June, 2015 For what is it worth, about six or seven times in the past several weeks, I have rewatched Mane's hat trick just before going to bed. And at 2:50 am, I just did it again and off to bed I go.
