Saint Charlie Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Bertrand has been decent. Average I would say to be honest. Neither bad nor good.

Chalkboy Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Lallana was invisible. Good to see Brendan Rodgers' famed ability to improve players in full effect.
Saint_clark Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Going on about crowd behaviour again. What the feck? Are they making too much noise or standing up when they should be sitting down? Scumbags. It's like a return to the dark days.
Batman Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Thank god that is over. Horrendous Now watch Roy say how good we were
Saint_clark Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 All in all, glad i had to work, sounds like that was less fun than being waterboarded.
doddisalegend Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 ENGLAND R S H I T E!!! Amazing how putting on an England shirt turns decent players in dog turd none of them look this crap for their club sides.
Saint_clark Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Amazing how putting on an England shirt turns decent players in dog turd none of them look this crap for their club sides. It's not that amazing, it's just Hodgson.
Chalkboy Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 "Waste of an afternoon" - brilliant from Paul Scholes .
doddisalegend Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 It's not that amazing, it's just Hodgson. Was the same before woy as well though tbf have to go back to the 90s to find the last time I enjoyed watching England play
Saint_clark Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Was the same before woy as well though tbf have to go back to the 90s to find the last time I enjoyed watching England play I dunno, i enjoyed 2006 . when we beat Argentina 3-2 with Owen scoring in the last minute was another good performance.
Viking Warrior Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Clyney looked ****ed off when the camera panned in on the subs . I bet he was chuffed he didn't go on .
Lorne Malvo Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Meh, it was a nothing game before hand, and we always struggle v Ireland. Lol @ people having hissy fits about the performance, probably same people that do it when Saints have friendlies and don't win. As long as we win next week I couldn't have cared less if we lost this 5-0.
The Cat Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Just got back from a tournament at Stoneham. Glad I was watching local under 9's rather than what sounded like a predicitable, lacklustre international friendly. I think I enjoyed England games more when our players weren't in them - I had no need to feign interest then.
Saint Billy Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Meh, it was a nothing game before hand, and we always struggle v Ireland. Lol @ people having hissy fits about the performance, probably same people that do it when Saints have friendlies and don't win. As long as we win next week I couldn't have cared less if we lost this 5-0. Yep agree with that, I would have been totally unmoved if we had lost that game 5-0 to Ireland just the same as when saints lose in a friendly against say a Swiss league side. I am totally numb as it is never a true indicator of how the teams performing. In fact I am more than happy to see saints go into a new season winning none of their friendly's. I mean it makes sense doesn't it, you don't want to go into your next game too confident do you. As any boxer will tell you, if he keeps getting caught on the chin by his spa partner don't worry, it will not happen in the real fight, why would it.
david in sweden Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Two championship players, including Mcgoaldrought ahead of Long. there is a lot of difference between starting a game and getting 45 mins.... and coming on as a late sub. That's why McG. had his chance from the start. Any player looking make a serious impression must be able do so in the first half, and not have to wait until he's coming up against tiring defenders after 60 mins.. Mc G. just wasn't in it at all, and hardly got a kick, let alone a shot on target. Shane Long has a track record for Ireland and doesn't have anything to prove.
Crab Lungs Posted 7 June, 2015 Posted 7 June, 2015 Wilshere so much better than Henderson and Milner. And Cork, too. And Roy played him behind Henderson and Milner
