Being sued by Jimena Barón (his partner when he arrived - and left - Southampton), for domestic abuse.

She gave birth to their son, Morrison, last year.

Reports in Argentina say he returned home on May 18th, having had previous domestic abuse issues - and took all her money from her bags/purses, chucked her out with his son and has had nothing to do with them since. He has refused to provide any financial support to help her raise their son.

Osvaldo now single and without any of his three kids.

He is an absolutely horrific human being. We must have some sort of grounds to be able to cancel his contract without payment? (obviously not on this incident, but his fighting with players at Inter, here...coaches...)

Let him rot in some lower brazilian league somewhere.

The way football is he'd probably still end up at some half decent club and us with nothing back from our 14million(?). Hopefully we can sack him off on another loan or convince someone to take him off our hands as an ex juve and boca super striker!

Even considering the world is weighted so heavily in players favour these days, I can't believe there isn't contractual provision for cancelling a contract due to bad behaviour. Or just keep hitting him with huge fines, so it's not worth his while staying on our books.

For all the club's rhetoric about their research into players' characters as well as their ability' date=' his signing was one hell of a lack of judgement.[/quote']

Which is why I think this was a signing that bypassed a lot of that. MP, NC decided - done.

Osvaldo, Cortese's doppelganger and Ossie's wife. Hmm.

The legacy of cortese / pochetino .

What a massive waste of money he's been and a drain on our resources

Think there maybe more to that Legacy than Oz but know where you're coming from with the second sentence and couldn't agree more.

If anyone can get him playing again, Koeman can.

I hope this meant with sarcastic humour and not actually serious!!!!!

Not only is his behaviour terrible his football was well below the standard required at this club...

The question of him and Rimirez still should be asked though..... As we seem to continually keep patting ourselves on the back over transfers what happened with those two?

There are one or two others who are very iffy too btw....

I'm not sure our transfer policy is all that really .... Some good and some very expensive poor decisions ....

Who ever sanctioned his signing deserves the sack...........

It's no surprise that the two transfers that bypassed our transfer committee and were pursued relentlessly by the previous chairman, despite them being huge gambles at massive prices, have turned out to be the two worst signings in the history of the club. There have been some other poor ones at relatively low fees, but nothing compared to the huge waste of money these two have been.

Thanks NC

Compared to other clubs who get it spot on every single time?

Osvaldo will return to Southampton

£17million flop Daniel Osvaldo will return to Southampton this summer after Boca Juniors decided not to extend his loan.

The wild Italian striker has been a figure of controversy throughout his career and was bombed out of St Mary's after an altercation with skipper Jose Fonte on the training ground.

He found himself in hot water at Boca before he'd even played a game after being discovered sneaking women into the team hotel, and the Argentine giants will cut him loose when his deal expires on June 30.

Representatives of the player are keen to find him a move to Turkey or the MLS with Southampton understood to not be taking him into consideration.

From the Mirror live transfer blog.

As a Boca fan I'm very saddened to see this.

Can't complain with what he has done in the pitch. He is an amazing player. Way better than Pelle. He does things that not many strikers can, even in the Premier League. But he sure crossed the line, he is just too stupid, too unprofessional. What a waste of talent if he goes to the MLS. But he has no one to blame but himself.

Is there an emoji for sneaking girls back into the team hotel after a match?

Represented here by the facepalm at the end. Disappointing that there's a limit on 10 per post, I had a LOT more facepalms planned.

Also couldn't use this one for him going missing in Milan the weekend I went to see Inter v Torino... :suspicious:

Way better than Pelle.

Pelle has a better goals to games ratio for us and for Italy. There is no way Osvaldo, even if he wasn't a complete f*ckwit is a better player than Pelle. I know the standard of Argentine club football is sh1te but that's probably Osvaldo's level.

Can someone document Osvaldo's Saints career in on field and off antics as a timeline?

I saw Dani in Waitrose on Portswood road in December of 2013. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person and congratulated him on his stunner against Man City, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw Dani trying to walk out the doors with like 9 Lion bars in his hands without paying.

The girl at the till was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the till.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

No way. If have seen both of them play this year. All their games. Osvaldo would have made this team much much better than Pelle. Osvaldo can play as a false 9, the way he protects the ball, his passing game... way better than Pelle, a much more complete striker. He is stupid and a bad person, but... as football player he is world-class.

He has a lot of talent, which is why he keeps getting chances in the game despite being a prize idiot, but he doesn't apply it enough and I am pretty confident in saying that Pelle has contributed significantly more this season than Osvaldo would have.

Sadly he is a great footballer, but his laziness negated any value to us, and of course he is a total ****.

Of course, that's out of the question. On the pitch he would have done more. Having Tadid, Mane and Osvaldo would have been a joy to watch. But there are some standarts for a professional players and he fails to meet them. He is a cancer. For any squad. Just a waste of talent.

There are many more thing he did, like being too sympathetic with violent Boca hoolingan's actions in a game against River. But the scandal with his wife was just too much to take and sealed his fate. I don't want to see him in Boca nor Southampton. But to be fair, that doesen't mean he is less talented than Pelle.

You used the same made up story in relation to Ryan Bertrand. Weirdo.
