Not too disimilar to OP. Gave Bertrand a 10 as he has been so consistent, really don't recall him having a bad game or making many key mistakes.

Targett 8? The same as Clyne? Madness.

For the games he has played yeah, thats where marks out of the season are so uneven. Clyne has dropped off in the past few months.

You have shown that yourself by giving Steven Davis a 6, he was fantastic for most of the season but dropped off towards the end.

Goalkeepers:

Forster-8 - As people have seen, our defensive record has dipped without him - and whilst it's not only down to this, he made a huge contribution to our record. Top keeper and we will miss him.

Davis-6 - Good servent, hasn't done too badly when required, but not really up to the standard - you do notice that with the goals we do let in. Not howlers, but a better keeper would prevent them.

Gazzaniga-6 - Doesn't look any different to when we last saw him. Nervous, un sure, poor decision making, and pretty much let's any shot on. Time to go I think.

Defenders

Clyne-7 - Had a terrific first half of the season where he'd have been a 9/10, but he's let the speculation surrounding his future affect his game in the 2nd half. Hopefully once he ties himself down he can get his focus back again.

Fonte-10 - Outstanding season, best season he's ever had for us...and I imagine it's his best personal season. Probably playing at the peak of his powers right now.

Toby-9 - Really good season, terrific player. Injuries blighted his campaign a little, but even in the amount of games he's played he's made a difference and personally I'd spent £10m+ to get him in.

Yoshida-7 - Stepped up this season I felt. Distribution has always been one of his weak points, but that's improved this year - heck, he even had an assist!

Gardos-5 - Bit disappointed to be honest. Came with a big fee and seen as the 'Lovren' replacement, but just hasn't really done it for me. I assume he'll be around next year, but his spell here has also cost him his place internationally, so maybe he's feeling a little uneasy.

Bertrand-9 - As I've said before, the biggest compliment you can pay to him is that we haven't missed Shaw. Terrific player, so glad we don't have to worry about making that loan permanent - we got in there quick!

Targett-6 - Not sure about all the high ratings other people have been giving, he's a decent player. Hasn't played that much, but we do lose a bit of quality when he does play. Decent cover, but no more than that.

Midfielders:

Davis-7 - I'm a big fan of Davis, but he's not had his best season. He started off ok...but the dip he's had has been pretty alarming. He's usually Mr Reliable, always retains the ball, but he's been quite sloppy these past 3 months. I imagine we will look to 'evolve' his position over the summer. It's time to get a proper number 10!

Wanyama-9 - Had his best season for us in my opinion. Technically he's improved, his passing and distribution has been better and when you combine that with his strength and power...then you have a damn good player on your hands. Still pretty young, got plenty of improvement left in him I feel. Not worried about him going just yet.

Reed-6 - Done ok when called upon, not as 'technical' as other's, but he'll give it 100% and play like a terrier. In some games those players are valuable.

JWP-6 - Frustrating, and same old JWP really. Starts the season well, people talking him up, sounding him out for England etc....and then like clockwork he gets an injury around mid-season and then never comes back the same player, and just drifts as a sub for the remainder. This has happened for the past 3 seasons now and it's a bit of a concern. He's technically outstanding, we just don't see enough of it.

Morgan-9 - He could have sulked, moped around and not given 100% this year...but we probably saw Morgan's best ever season, which shows his character. I've loved watching him for these last 7 years. He's top level, up there with the Pogba's, Vidals etc of this world in terms of value to a team. I wish him all the best (Unless he goes to Spurs..!) and I'm proud we got to see his development over the years.

Tadic-7 - Would have been 8/9, but he dipped alarmingly. The thing I will say though, is unlike others, he showed his quality. We all know what he can do, that's why we're all a little disapointed in his 2nd half. It seems to me that he was playing through a bit of an injury, so hopefully a pre-season can get him back to the Tadic we fell in love with.

Djuricic-6 - Looks good on the ball, but ultimately achieves nothing. Too lightweight.

Forwards:

Pelle-7 - 16 goals is a good return, you can't complain at that. His lack of away goals is a bit odd and one of the reasons our away form has tailed off a little. I'd like to know how the club feel about him, but personally I wouldn't see him as the player to continue our 'rise'. We may already be looking to evolve his role.

Mane-8 - Love mane. You never know what you will get from him, which can be frustrating and bloody exciting at the same time. I think he's hit 11 goals this season, and for his first season that's impressive. I would not be surprised to see some big clubs making tentative approaches over the summer....but he won't go just yet.

Long-7 - Done ok, nothing more. Makes a difference when he plays, but that's because of his work rate and running rather than his quality. I imagine he'll continue as a squad player for next year.

Ellia-5 - Trash. Apart from 2 deflected goals against Newcastle he has contributed zilch. Looks like a player on a very quick slide down to obscurity and I hope we let him continue that slide elsewhere.

RK has said several times that he has had a groin injury for the most part of the second half of the season. Hopefully that clears up with rest, or maybe an operation. Its obviously been bad enough to affect him quite a bit.

Amazed to see how many points Pelle and Forster have got so far given the grief they have both been given here this season!

Also, we finished 7th. A best points haul granted but I think the points for each player a high given that we didn't have consistency.

Fair enough but when you look at what Clyne contributed to the team across the whole season it was undeniably a huge amount more than Targett, principally because he played a lot more games.

Targett has done well in most of the few games he played but over the season he hasn't been more than 6/10 for what he contributed to our overall success.

Clyne has been far more important, to give them the same mark is odd IMO.

Going by 5 as being average I think some of you are being very kind to a few of our players. Long for instance, 5 goals and all at home to very poor opposition. I don't care if Long runs around or Djuricic looks good on the ball, they have both failed to deliver.

Forster - 8 - instils confidence like Boruc, dealing with crosses his only weakness and some point-winning saves over the season

Davis - 7 - some monster saves when called upon

Gazzaniga - NA - haven't been able to watch any of the game he's played in full, though some of the goals conceded have been nasty

Clyne - 7 - I haven't seen this as a high watermark season for him. For my money he was better when competing with Chambers (and better than Chambers) last year. But he is, of course, a cracking player who we should aspire to keep

Fonte - 9.5 - player of the season without a doubt. Half of our early-season fawning over Alderweireld should have been directed towards Jose, took us a while to recognise the step up he's made this year.

Alderweireld - 9 - that said, a classy, classy player and one of the best defenders I've ever seen in a Saints shirt. A joy to watch, which is high praise indeed for a centre half

Yoshida - 7.5 - Fabulous luxury to have him in reserve. Tougher than last year, infinitely smarter than the year before

Gardos - 5 - Hasn't settled yet. I'm rarely confident when he's on the pitch, though he has put in some very good performances. Quite a few mistakes (Ipswich at home comes to mind) which we mercifully didn't concede as a result of.

Bertrand - 8 - very good indeed

Targett - 5 - dependable but that's about it for his short time on the pitch

Davis - 5 - his worst season for us. We still miss him when he's gone but nothing's worked for him since Christmas. Even his normally perfect passing was prone to sloppiness

Wanyama - 8 - outstanding in early season and pretty bloody great ever since

Reed - 6 - done well when called upon but will naturally struggle to cement a place

JWP- 7 - really pleased to see him improve. Leaving more of a mark on games as a passer and mover now, though the mark we all want to see in future is goals and assists.

Morgan - 8 - the usual excellence

Tadic - 7.5 - his early season contribution was worth its weight in gold so can't score him down too much for a fairly anonymous time of it post-January

Djuricic- 5 - Good feet, but still finding them.

Pelle - 7.5 - Great signing. He's taken Lambert's contribution to the team (i.e. more than goals) and adapted it for the way we play now. A real shame his confidence nosedived after a few games without scoring.

Mane - 8.5 - An absolute pleasure to watch and 10 goals for the season.

Long - 6.5 - Delivered exactly what we should all have expected - a few handy goals, space between opposition lines, game-changing ability off the bench

Ellia - 4 - thanks for winning us the Newcastle game. After that - ?????

He's scored more than Lambert could in a Prem season.

he, aguero?

lambert got 15 and then 13 in the league for us...pelle got 12 in the league

anyway, pelle did alright. 14 games without a goal was very poor.

Hope he kicks on next year

before you throw in cup goals and that Pelle does not take penalties. Lambert got 10 assists in the league alone last season for saints (5 the first season up)

Um maybe some rate him to be a better player?

Perhaps they do. But certainly not worth a higher mark based on first team contribution this season. Which is surely what these ratings are about.

I know you don't rate Tadic, which is fine by me, but you surely realise he made more of a positive impact to the first team this season than Matt Targett (who is a good prospect) did?

Here goes nothing..

GOALKEEPERS

FRASER FORSTER 8

Had a few dodgy games, but overall very solid and certainly saved us points in the league. Gutted about his injury and I think we missed his presence until the end of the season. Easy to forget that this was his first season playing at this level, at times he looked like he'd been playing Premier League football for years!

KELVIN DAVIS 7

I don't think many anticipated seeing Kelv back in goal for us any time soon, but he did his job fairly well when he needed to. A few hairy moments but he's still got it and i'm more than happy with him as 2nd choice keeper next season while Fraser is injured.

PAULO GAZZANIGA 6

Didn't get to do too much this season but he's looked more confident than he did the last time he featured for us. Unfortunately for him I think his time at the club may be up unless he's happy being 4th choice long term as I don't think he's going to break into the first team any time soon.

DEFENDERS

NATHANIEL CLYNE 7.5

Clyne was exceptional for us last season, a real force in the team. I think this has been a slightly more subdued campaign for him at club level - 2 goals and 0 assists is a decent return but considering he had 1 goal and 5 assists last year it's a slight drop in his usually high standards. Very solid otherwise.

RYAN BERTRAND 8.5

Luke who? Ryan's really made the LB position his own this season and he's been one of our most consistent performers as well. 2 goals and 3 assists is a good return and he's been key in our attacking play this season as well. Keen to see how he builds on this next season and if we do get into Europe, his experience at that level will be invaluable.

MATT TARGETT 7

Only 6 appearances for Matt this season in the league but he's done well when he's been needed. Still a little raw and needs more time to grow but you can see he has the makings of a very solid LB.

JOSE FONTE 9

Captain Fantastic! Admittedly he's gotten away with a few dodgy moments this season but overall he's been the force driving us forward this campaign with some inspired defensive displays. Formed a really solid partnership with Toby Alderweireld and it's great to see that one of the players who joined us in L1 is still such an integral part of our team today.

TOBY ALDERWEIRELD 8.5

I was delighted when we signed Toby on loan because I know how good of a defender he is and it made me a lot more confident having lost Dejan Lovren in the summer. Immediately formed a formidable partnership with Jose Fonte in the middle of defence and has filled in at RB and CM when needed too. He'd be an excellent addition to our squad in the summer but I don't think we'll be able to tempt him here as he'll have bigger offers on the table.

MAYA YOSHIDA 7.5

I like Maya as a player, I felt that he got a lot of unfair stick in our first season and has been very patient being 3rd choice behind Fonte, Lovren and Alderweireld this season and last. Filled in very well at RB, LB and CB at times this season and while unspectacular, he's delivered some solid and consistent performances.

FLORIN GARDOS 6

Perhaps a bit of a harsh rating considering he's barely been on the radar at times this season. While he has put in some decent performances he's also put in a fair few crap ones as well - especially in the League Cup against Sheff Utd (which was a bad day all-round tbf). Would prefer to see his place in the squad go to one of Stephens, Turnbull or McCarthy next season as I just don't think he's going to make it with us.

MIDFIELDERS

MORGAN SCHNEIDERLIN 8.5

Such an important player for us - although we've been capable when he hasn't played for us, our midfield just doesn't seem to tick right without him. Has had a bit less of a barnstorming season than last time out and a few injuries have hampered him, but still an excellent showing. Has more than earned a move to a huge club.

VICTOR WANYAMA 8

Has come on in leaps and bounds this season after a slightly patchy one last time out. He reads the game much better now and has improved on the passing aspect of his game vastly. Has been guilty at times of a bit of ill-discipline and a lack of concentration, but he's still only 23 and has a long way still to go in his career. Can be a formidable player in the future with more hard work and a bit more consistency, but maybe that's nitpicking.

JAMES WARD-PROWSE 7.5

Another one who I think gets an undeserved amount of criticism. Has shown some really neat play and been a real creative force for us at times from different positions on the pitch - whether that's wide right or left, in a deep role or playing off a striker. 7 assists is a good return for a young player at this level. Admittedly his set-pieces have been a bit disappointing so that would be my target for him next season.

STEVEN DAVIS 7.5

Mr Consistent. That can be a blessing or a curse, as early in the season he was vital to some great team performances but in the later stages he has sometimes been a bit of a liability with some lacklustre passing and poor awareness. Still an influential figure on the pitch and deserving of a place in the squad, but I don't think he should be an automatic starter.

HARRISON REED 7.5

I like Harry as a player, he's full of energy and very tenacious. He's not the biggest presence on the pitch (to say the least) but he's shown his quality in a few games this season. Not a comparable level, but he has run entire games at U21 level and has the capacity to do so in the Prem as well with some more work and game time. Next season might not be his year either but with time I think he'll be a very important player for us as well.

FILIP DJURICIC 6

For me, he hasn't really contributed anything worthwhile to the team other than a few fancy flicks and some nice passes. Frustratingly similar to Gaston Ramirez in his play in that you can see he has talent and good technique, but he just lacks the spark to actually make it work in any real sense for the team. Wouldn't sign him in the summer but you can tell the lad has talent and will be a decent player for a team at a lower level than this given the chance.

FORWARDS

SADIO MANE 8.5

Has been a game-winner on several occasions for us this season and has made a vital contribution. Again, slightly frustrating at times by going to ground too easily or by not finishing a few simple chances (the open goal against Spurs away springs to mind) but overall this has been an excellent debut season for him. Has scored some sublime goals and he's still only 21. With a few more seasons like this he could be a very good player indeed and he has the attributes to make it to the top if he carries on the way he's going.

DUSAN TADIC 7.5

Was torn between giving Dusan a 7 or an 8. I think a 7 would have undervalued his key contributions to us early in the season with a few nice goals and some superb assists as well as his willing running and skill, however an 8 would have overlooked a poor second half of the season where he's looked a shadow of his former self. RoKo has spoken a couple of times about Dusan being tired and carrying knocks, so it's fair to say he's had a bit of a tough time adjusting to the intensity of this league. Needs to be more consistent.

ELJERO ELIA 6

I was at the Newcastle away game where he scored twice and he was phenomenal at getting in behind their defence, finishing his 2 chances well. However, I don't think he's been close to replicating that performance at all over the rest of this season - instead he's been relegated to a few cameo appearances off the bench and a handful of starts where he's been largely anonymous. Even though we have a cheap price agreed for him as part of his loan deal (£3m) and he's clearly willing to work his socks off for Koeman, I wouldn't sign him in the summer.

SHANE LONG 7.5

Another hit-and-miss performer and another one who's come in for an unfair amount of stick this season too. Maybe burdened by a £12m price tag, Shane's struggled to achieve consistency for us this season. He has put in some outstanding performances against Leicester at home where he bagged 2 off the bench, away at West Ham where he terrorised their defence and the other week against Villa where he was unplayable along with Mane. At times though he has been frustrating and ineffective playing in a bit of an unfamiliar position out wide. I think he plays better as a second striker, where we may see him more next season. Personally though I think he's been a valuable addition to our squad and has the ability to be a matchwinner...sometimes.

GRAZIANO PELLE 7.9

Stopped just short of giving Pelle an 8 because of his obvious struggles in front of goal at times. Similar to Tadic in that he was utterly sublime at times early in the season and scored some very important and impressive goals, but severely dropped off in the second part of the year. Perhaps unlucky at times seeing some of his efforts being unfathomably saved (Howard's save vs Everton away springs to mind) but there are aspects to his game he really does need to work on. Altogether though he's had a good first season in the Prem and i'm sure he'll come back better and stronger next year for the experience.

AND FINALLY...

RONALD KOEMAN 9

An utterly seamless transition this summer and an excellent first season for our new head honcho. Very endearing to the fans with his humble attitude and there have only been glowing reports from the players about his management style. Has bought out the best from some players at the club and has had us playing some really sublime football at times. Perhaps short of a Plan C during lean times but overall i'm delighted with him as i'm sure 99% of Saints fans are too. Proost Ronald!

For a young lad yes targett has done we and on appearances he's played 7. Steven david would be less as I think he's had a poor season by his standards. 0 goals all season is shocking tbh and his performances haven't been very good. I don't understand why people think ward prowse has improved. I haven't seen any evidence of this. No pace, can't shoot from open play, not good in the tackle and no left foot.

Goalkeepers-

Forster-8 - Been the commanding figure we've lacked

Davis- 7 - Not really done anything wrong when called on and some great stops

Gazzaniga-6 - Unconvinced but feel the coaches must see something I don't...seems fragile on confidence

Defenders

Clyne- 8 - Even when he didn't hit his top form was class, really like him to stay

Fonte- 9 - Been a revelation, continues to lead and dominate...would have been 10 if he'd scored this year!

Toby- 9 - Pure class and intelligent enough to form partnership with Jose pretty much instantly

Yoshida- 7 - Pleased we have signed him on longer term, never let us down..an excellent back up who would get in many teams

Gardos- 6 - Jury's out a bit, for me, but some good skills for a tall lad and the type of player who will benefit from our coaching

Bertrand-9 Consistently good all season, we haven't missed Shaw at all.

Targett - 7 Not put a foot wrong when he has played, seen a fair few U21 games and he's a likely successor to Bertrand

Midfielders-

Davis- 7 - Possibly not as consistent as last year and his shooting has cost us points but we generally play better when he's in the side

Wanyama- 7 - Started the season looking world class but faded a bit latterly, still young and will improve

Reed-6 - Still a work in progress but getting there - hell of an engine and looked good in the U21s, silly red aside. Great prospect

JWP-7- Started to look the player we're told he is in the last few games. Struggled to find his best position and a bit one paced but improving..rated by coaches so....

Morgan-9- Would love him to stay, gives us a different dimension with his long passing ability. Will go, probably, but with my gratitude

Tadic-8 - Started so well that we didn't miss Lallana at all - faded, maybe due to injury in the latter half but seems to be able to do it in the PL

Djuricic-6- Someone said another Gaston and maybe rightly...does have the ability to produce something different and of the two I'd sell Ramirez..

Attackers-

Pelle-8 - Great first season...even Ron Davies had dry spells.. but his general link play and willingness to go where it hurts make him invaluable. Unfairly criticised on here...

Mane-9 - Find of the season! Raw, certainly, Papa Waigo 2 -why not? Blistering pace with real ability and an eye for a goal..will only improve - top scorer next year?

Long-7 - Team player who has done what has been asked of him...has the skills as seen recently - we should ignore the price tag and appreciate the player!

Ellia-5 - Not really seen enough quality to warrant signing permanently, obviously has ability but not PL suited.

We've got a few youngsters knocking on the door in addition to these, looking forward to seeing Hesketh, Gape, McQueen, Seager, Gallagher and Isgrove...possibly Josh Sims challenging for places - I've enjoyed watching them progress and there are others too.

A good season, very nearly an outstanding season...we are a well-run, fun to watch club...I'm as happy-clappy as I'm ever likely to be...and there are still cups to win!

Some interesting opinions and enjoyed reading peoples views. I still think we kill Pelle far to much on here. I think many dont appreciate what he does for the team and look solely on his goal return, (yes i know hes a striker,) BUT Koemans tactics are set up to have a focal point of our attack.

Goalkeepers-

Forster - 8 - Good first season, good shot stopper and kicking is decent, is it me or does anyone else think he could work on his flapping? for a mountain of a guy, i think hes still got work to do on coming and collection.

Davis - 7 - Super Kelv. Enough said. When do we put him on the banner for saints web?

Gazzaniga - 6 - Stay of execution? cant see him ever really breaking in the team after watching him struggle filling in.

Defenders

Clyne - 7.5 - Felt he drifted abit after FEB, like several of the players. Love him to stay, no doubt of his quality.

Fonte - 10 - One of the best CB in the league this year, highlight for me was Harry Kane in his pocket the whole game at SMS. Class act and captain marvelous

Toby - 9 - Probably the best player ive seen in a Saints shirt. Oozes quality but i fear we wont see him again, which is tragic.

Yoshida - 7 - An excellent back up who would get in many teams

Gardos - 6 - Abit gangerly and poor. Shef Utd he was ****e. Obviously has class but yet to show.

Bertrand - 9.5 - After the slating most gave him on here when the loan was announced, hes been awesome. Team of year says it all.

Targett - 6 - Not much game time. clearly talented but someway to go for me.

Midfielders-

Davis - 8 - Dont understand the criticism. He keeps us ticking over and work rate is second to none. Did tail off slightly but still a strong season. wish.he.could.shoot!!

Wanyama - 8 - A powerhouse. Needs to learn how to pass. but BIG improvement on last season.

Reed - 6.5 - Like him and thought he was great against Everton at home. prospect for the future.

JWP - 7 - Clearly so talented. I think hes too light weight. love his quality from set pieces, but still not quite there for me.

Morgan - 9 - Different Gravy. Class act and we miss him when hes not on the pitch. Cant see him staying, so thank you morgan for your time here.

Tadic - 7.5 - on fire for 3-4 months then fell off a cliff. injury may have something to do with it.?

Djuricic - 6 - Not seen anything that makes me think hes any better than what we have.

Attackers-

Pelle -8 - Unfairly criticised on here and i like him very much. Passionate, works hard for the team and has scored so good goals. confidence and missing chances does worry me BUT still 16 goals in all comps... id take that.

Mane - 8.5 - I dont think he knows anymore than we do whats going to happen when he has the ball. Was god awful at times but the genius at others.

Long -7 - People far to hung up on the price we paid for him. Never been a big scorer and i think we didnt use him enough. Big fan of his work and been decent.

Ellia -5 - plop. that is all.

Goalkeepers-

Forster-8 Can see why they call him The Great Wall. Immense at times although could do better with low shots, understandable why it might take him some time to get down though!

Davis-7 Great servant to the club, very reliable when called upon.

Gazzaniga-5

Defenders

Clyne-7 Has been solid all season and makes his position look easy, I felt he was a little off the boil since Feb...

Fonte-9 Great leader, does worry me in the box sometimes as he could have given away more penalties with less lenient refs. So reliable and vital to the team.

Toby-9 Class act, best defender I've ever seen in a saints shirt.

Yoshida-8

Gardos-5

Bertrand-9 Improvement on Shaw. Makes the team stronger.

Targett-7

Midfielders-

Davis-7 Thought he started well and has a good work rate. Important player but shocking in front of goal this year.

Wanyama-9 Tank. Incredible strength and I feel less like conceding when he's on the pitch. Pleased he popped up with a couple of great goals.

Reed-8 Thought he was solid and energetic when called upon, think he will go on to be a great player.

JWP-7

Morgan-9 Class act. Doesn't make mistakes and some of his passing is mesmerizing.

Tadic-8 Good start to the season and scored some important goals.

Djuricic-6

Attackers-

Pelle-9 Incredible hold up play and some amazing and important goals. Really like watching him. Frustrating at times.

Mane-8 Great first touch, great control and pace. A real threat. Always feel like he has goals in him if he stays on his feet.

Long-8 Tireless player, chases every ball and would much rather have him on the team than against it.

Elia-5

GK:

Forster - 9 Very authoritative both in personality and stature, he was definitely a big part of why we got so many clean sheets

Davis - 7 Had good games against Burnley, Hull and Man City but let in a few soft goals whilst between the sticks. Other then that always shows good GK'ing.

Gazzaniga - 5 Poor against Leicester but was more commanding against Villa - maybe the 5 goal cushion raised his confidence which seems ever fragile

DEF:

Bertrand - 9 Our most consistent performer overall, can't recall him having a bad game

Targett - 6.5 Stood in well for Bertrand when needed, but he isn't too noticeable in an attacking sense.

Fonte - 10 An excellent captain was needed to steady the nerves before the season, and Jose Fonte delivered. Looks like Liverpool bought the wrong CB, because he has always been excellent at the back and thoroughly deserved to be in the PFA TOTY.

Alderweireld - 9 Great partnership with Fonte to be the rock of the 2nd best defence in the league.

Yoshida - 7 Stood in well for Alderweireld and proved to be quite versatile, playing at LB. However he made a few defensive errors towards the end in the Spurs and Sunderland matches.

Gardos - 4 Probably our only buy which was a miss, quite shaky and I'm not too confident in him. His spot would be better filled with an academy product really.

Clyne - 8 Fell off a bit in 2015 but he has been a lot better recently, an excellent player

MID:

Schneiderlin - 9 Usually the best player on the pitch no matter the opponent, could get into any top team

Wanyama - 8 Complements Morgan's passing ability with his physical presence, a great season for him

S. Davis - 5.5 Quite a poor season for his standards, 0 goals and should have been able to get more (spurs was it?) which would have gotten us into guaranteed European places. Easy to say with hindsight though, but his overall contribution to the team has been ok.

Reed - 8 Very impressive when he has made appearances and played a fantastic game against Everton - which was a game that could've been make or break for our season.

JWP - 7 Good season for him and his attacking qualities have been good to have. With all of the plaudits he gets for his set piece delivery it's a phenomenon as to why we've not scored more...

Djuricic - 6.5 Maybe not seen enough of him, but he has shown good technical ability and I wouldn't mind keeping him

Tadic - 7 Had such an electric start to the season, his partnership with Pelle was mouth-watering. Disappointing that he fell away, but hopefully that groin injury has cleared up by the time he's back and he can come back better.

ATT:

Elia - 5 Shows good technical ability but doesn't really contribute anything else to the team.

Mane - 9 Had troubles at the start/around December but has been so crucial in picking up points for us during our struggling periods...2:56

Long - 7 If his runs would lead to more goals, he'd be rated higher. Sadly a lot of the times he takes a very heavy touch so the keeper is often able to end the attack. Other then that, a reliable player.

Pelle - 8 Has a good goal return for a debut season, and his role as a target man enables the likes of Mane and Long to press more too.

Mayuka - 1 Don't think he even took a shot in the brief time he was on the pitch.

Goalkeepers

Forster-8 We really missed the big guy towards the end

Davis-6 Great servant and did not let us down when called upon

Gazzaniga-5 Still not convinced

Defenders

Clyne-7 Excellent first half of the season, shame he tailed off

Fonte-10 Top class leader and has really come on this season

Toby-9 Probably would have been a 10 if he had stayed injury free.....now sign for Saints!!

Yoshida-7 Has been solid when called upon

Gardos-6 very little to judge him on. Strange signing on the face of it.

Bertrand-9 Shrewd shrewd business Saints. Excellent first season.

Targett-6 Has not let us down when called upon. Bright future hopefully ahead of him.

Midfielders

Davis-7 I like Davis and don't understand why he gets so much stick. He is reliable and does whats required. A few goals would help.

Wanyama-8 The rock...enough said

Reed-6 In patches he has shown what a decent player he could become. He is still learning and next season i feel is a big one for him if we get Europa football

JWP-7 another much maligned player who i personally think is quality. He needs to learn how to defend better but technically he is one of our best.

Morgan-9 This lad will be so difficult to replace if he goes. He really is the real deal

Tadic-7 excellent first half of the season and difficult to understand why he went off the boil so dramatically in the second half.

Djuricic-5 Not convinced

Attackers

Pelle-8 first season in the Premiership with the responsibility of our main goal threat. Give the guy a break he did well

Mane-8 wasn't convinced at first but wow he has shown he has the attributes to be a great player for us....please stay on your feet, you are a gazzelle

Long-7 Reminds me of Brett Ormerod, never stops running and occasionally scores. Forget the price tag and the guy did ok

Ellia-5 not convinced

Forster 7

kd 5 (9.5 at Man City)

Gaz 5

Clyne 4 (spent 2 months sulking)

Fonte 10.5 'kin imperious, should have partnered JT in the team of the year

Toby 9 when he played CB, 7 in MF, 5 when he was injured, = 7.5 overall

RB 9, consistently good

Yoshi, typically wholehearted but a level down from JF/TA, 7

Targett, he 'could' make it but he lacks NC/RB's killer attacking instincts, solid 8 in defence but 4 coming fd = 6

Gardos, ltd games and ltd impact 5

MS, different gravy (when he played) 9

VW, ma-ssive for us and ma-sssive to keep him. 9

Davis, under-rated 8

JWP, over-rated 6

Tadic, hopefully we will see more next season, 7+ so far

Reed, very good so far, 7 this year, 8 next year if he gets some more pitch time?

Dujeric, SP? OK so far, 5+

Ellia, one game wonder 3

Mane 9 so far, and plenty more to come

Pelle 8, needs to be more consistent, but can't fault his effort

Long 7, when he plays we always carry more of a threat, unfortunately we(he) can't then follow through with the goals.
