manina-pub Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Spurs lose and we get a point to claim 6th is the most realistic positive outcome
Shroppie Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Prefer Spurs and Liverpool draw and we win to snatch 5th!
Sevvy Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Even better Spurs and Liverpool lose and we win right at the death,
B Rabbit Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Just need United to win now so City have nothing to play for next week....
Lighthouse Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 City - If you let us win it could REALLY p*ss off some Scousers. Just a thought.
Crazy Diamond Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 There are the odd surprise results on the final day, fingers crossed we get one at the Etihad next week.
Dalek2003 Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 We may as well go for 5th now that we are going to be in Europe as we have nothing to lose.
ericofarabia Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 I'd probably be rooting for Arsenal in The Final anyway, but it would be nice to watch it without any pressure!! Hope we catch Citeh on an off day and Stoke and Everon do their bit .... 5th spot would be a much nicer representation of what our club has acheived this season against all odds. It's amazing that despite the downturn in form away from home against so called lesser teams, we are still in with a shout of 5th. COYS
SO16_Saint Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 We may as well go for 5th now that we are going to be in Europe as we have nothing to lose. Europe is still not in our own hands mind....
Ohio Saint Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 The past two months are forgotten for me after today. Off topic: I never bother trying to read bolded posts in orange. I wonder how many others skip that?
Matthew Le God Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 The last time Saints finished 7th or higher in top flight was 1989/90. A common factor with 1989/90 squad & Saints of 2014/15...
Ohio Saint Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 The tater on my commentary mentioned how Sammy was dancing around like a 16 year old at one of our goals. He has clearly not been watching Saints much this season. Gotta love Sammy's reactions.
The9 Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Just need United to win now so City have nothing to play for next week.... Yup.

Nobody else has ever mentioned it. You should block B Rabbit if it bothers you that much, he never does any different.

He does nothing to annoy me. Probably a sound guy......I just don't read orange, so it's an auto block for me. That's all really. No animosity here at all. Sorry to take the thread off topic over nothing really. I should know better.

Except for people sodding about with you of course.
Ohio Saint Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 I'm seeing a happy Sammy.......But I'm thinking a Lord of the Rings goblin.
cellone Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 I'm seeing a happy Sammy.......But I'm thinking a Lord of the Rings goblin. You have something there.
Redslo Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Even better Spurs and Liverpool lose and we win right at the death, I would prefer them to lose and we have another 6-1 easy win.
andoru Posted 18 May, 2015 Posted 18 May, 2015 I was so glad we broke the 60-point barrier for the first time on Saturday, then to have wrapped up at least 7th place yesterday just made the weekend all the sweeter. Throw in a club-record Premier League win against Sunderland, the fastest ever top-flight hat trick, our best ever goal scoring record in an 18-team PL season (54 and counting), our best ever defensive record (still one game to play, but unless we lose 15 nil next week it's a new record), equal most clean sheets for a goalkeeper this season (13 for Forster) and most clean sheets for a club (15). It's been a terrific season.

It's been a terrific season. Even more so when you consider last summers chaos. At the start of the season I had us down finishing as a lower middle table side while Koeman re-built the team and the new players adjusted to the PL. To have a season better than the last one is incredible.
