BT half-time coverage

I was a couple of rows up from Tractorsaint and even Steve Macmanaman was joining in the chants!

Could tell he felt a bit uncomfortable after it got a bit more vitriolic though

Those videos, and taking nothing away from you Tractor Saint, don't do it justice. He got so much abuse he stormed off only to be coaxed back out from the tunnel in the corner by Jake Humphreys who then gave him a hug.

He was being absolutely destroyed. I think BT Sport will think about having their coverage in front of us - especially when they had an ex-skate in their ranks, what were they thinking

I have never understood coverage from the sidelines. It's just asking for trouble. I can remember ITV doing it and I wasn't able to hear a word they were saying, although given Adrian Chiles was presenting it was a blessing in disguise. Today underlined it though. It's a nice background but not worth the trouble.

Played for Villa, that's probably why he was on.

And yet no ex-Saint to represent the home team. There's logic for you.

To be fair, it's just the normal BT Sport guys. They brought out their 'big hitters' for their last PL game. They're all signed up to BT Sport in one way or another, pretty sure there wasn't anything to do with club affiliation with any of them.

I see - I'm yet to experience the joys of BT Sport as they've managed to f*ck up my order.

I have to say I felt the abuse James got was a bit much but then again he should have expected it to be a bit hostile. I've got a bloke behind me who was complaining at 5 - 0 up, give that kind of person an excuse to have a go at someone and he won't turn it down...

Worth getting to be honest, if you can deal with the drones of Owen their buildup and coverage is good. The fletch and sav thingy they do on Saturday mornings from the days ''live game'' is a really good watch I think.

Watched the match back after getting home as I'd recorded it and it seemed like they had drowned the crowd noise out during the analysis at half time, it was so much louder than that in the stadium and James got relentless abuse the whole time he was out there. Not a fan of the standing around the table thing they do, seems quite amateurish compared to Sky Sports.

Were you in Chapel? Because there was a bloke behind me doing that too. He'd also keep clapping about 5 claps after everyone else, every time we all clapped. It was amazing!

Beattie was in the studio with Fletch and Sav for a few minutes before kick-off

nice to see Dr. Barry Gale was appreciated too. Probably the one thing BT have over sky, their build-up is much more human.

It's a stupid old codger in the Kingsland who has been the bane of my existence for three years but no longer - I'm moving away from him. I've never known anything like it.

Fair enough.

I have to say I found 'Dr. Barry Gale' mildly amusing and nothing more. It's a win for the communications team though, they'll be dead pleased to see the coverage their work has been getting.

I watched back my recording. It's amazing what they can do with the mics.. You can barely hear us. I was in kingsland north and it sounded incredibly loud! Sadly, not worth posting it up. Still, at least we saw him throw his toys out the pram when we politely enquired about the state of his personal finances [emoji106]
