Saint_clark Posted 16 May, 2015 Share Posted 16 May, 2015 What he say? From where I was sat he kept his mouth firmly shut I actually felt a bit bad after he walked off and came back, guy was clearly upset about the "where's all your money gone" chants. Could tell he felt a bit uncomfortable after it got a bit more vitriolic though Those videos, and taking nothing away from you Tractor Saint, don't do it justice. He got so much abuse he stormed off only to be coaxed back out from the tunnel in the corner by Jake Humphreys who then gave him a hug.
S-Clarke Posted 16 May, 2015 Share Posted 16 May, 2015 He was being absolutely destroyed. I think BT Sport will think about having their coverage in front of us - especially when they had an ex-skate in their ranks, what were they thinking
Crazy Diamond Posted 16 May, 2015 Share Posted 16 May, 2015 He was being absolutely destroyed. I think BT Sport will think about having their coverage in front of us - especially when they had an ex-skate in their ranks, what were they thinking I have never understood coverage from the sidelines. It's just asking for trouble. I can remember ITV doing it and I wasn't able to hear a word they were saying, although given Adrian Chiles was presenting it was a blessing in disguise. Today underlined it though. It's a nice background but not worth the trouble.

They brought out their 'big hitters' for their last PL game. They're all signed up to BT Sport in one way or another, pretty sure there wasn't anything to do with club affiliation with any of them. I see - I'm yet to experience the joys of BT Sport as they've managed to f*ck up my order. I have to say I felt the abuse James got was a bit much but then again he should have expected it to be a bit hostile. I've got a bloke behind me who was complaining at 5 - 0 up, give that kind of person an excuse to have a go at someone and he won't turn it down... Worth getting to be honest, if you can deal with the drones of Owen their buildup and coverage is good. The fletch and sav thingy they do on Saturday mornings from the days ''live game'' is a really good watch I think.

bpsaint Posted 16 May, 2015 Share Posted 16 May, 2015 Watched the match back after getting home as I'd recorded it and it seemed like they had drowned the crowd noise out during the analysis at half time, it was so much louder than that in the stadium and James got relentless abuse the whole time he was out there. Not a fan of the standing around the table thing they do, seems quite amateurish compared to Sky Sports.

Because there was a bloke behind me doing that too. He'd also keep clapping about 5 claps after everyone else, every time we all clapped. It was amazing! SaintLiam Posted 16 May, 2015 Share Posted 16 May, 2015 And yet no ex-Saint to represent the home team. There's logic for you. Beattie was in the studio with Fletch and Sav for a few minutes before kick-off nice to see Dr. Barry Gale was appreciated too. Probably the one thing BT have over sky, their build-up is much more human.
FloridaMarlin Posted 16 May, 2015 Share Posted 16 May, 2015 James rinsed Gazzaniga before the game. Some might say 'fair enough' but he appeared to take an ex-Skate's devilish delight in it. If he is setting himself up as a media pundit It is unprofessional to allow your allegiances to affect your objectivity.

It's a stupid old codger in the Kingsland who has been the bane of my existence for three years but no longer - I'm moving away from him. I've never known anything like it. It's a win for the communications team though, they'll be dead pleased to see the coverage their work has been getting.

wessex saint Posted 17 May, 2015 Share Posted 17 May, 2015 I watched back my recording. It's amazing what they can do with the mics.. You can barely hear us. I was in kingsland north and it sounded incredibly loud! Sadly, not worth posting it up. Still, at least we saw him throw his toys out the pram when we politely enquired about the state of his personal finances [emoji106]
