Saint-Armstrong Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 FULL-TIME: Liverpool 1-3 Crystal Palace Steven Gerrard's last game at Anfield is a 3-1 defeat against Crystal Palace.
lifeintheslowlane Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 Hmmm...somebody's p**sed on Gerrard's chips...oh dear.
bpsaint Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 Referee playing the occasion there, no way was he going to give the opposition a penalty in Gerrards last game. In which he has been totally invisible by the way. Incredibly cringe-worthy Liverpool-loving claptrap, and what the hell is the player-cam all about?? seriously. Or maybe not
S-Clarke Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 Or maybe not Yep, fair play to the ref! Oh so so happy with that result, it ****es on Sky's cringeworthy trash. They're in the bloody cop with the pundits ffs. Seriously, who cares.
badgerx16 Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 Citeh to draw tomorrow and then we can beat them @ theirs.
Window Cleaner Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 Or maybe not Outside the box too...not that it made much difference really.
Saint-Fred Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 FULL-TIME: Liverpool 1-3 Crystal Palace Steven Gerrard's last game at Anfield is a 3-1 defeat against Crystal Palace. Why the Gerard love in? Everyone forgets its also lovren and lambert so last games at anfield too
Matthew Le God Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 "If" (and its a big if) Southampton beat Man City, then Liverpool have to beat Stoke City away or Southampton would finish above Liverpool for the 1st time ever.
S-Clarke Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 I doubt poor palace will get much talk here, even though they were truly superb. This is what happens when you have a sky channel full of scousers, utter trash. They've got Liverpool FC TV, so ****ing use that. We don't care.
igsey Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 So, if we win next week, Spurs draw, Liverpool lose by 6 and Villa win the cup... no Europe for Liverpool!
bpsaint Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 Love that the referee got that so wrong but still gave a penalty, the media love in for the head bin dipper today was getting nauseating. as has been said if Liverpool actually concentrated on winning the game instead of giving Gerrard a fairytale moment as if it's a bloody testimonial they might have got something out the match. Must be said too fair bloody play to Pardew, he's made Palace a very difficult team to beat and they look a decent side nowadays. Reckon they could really push on next season and surprise a few people. Magpies fans deserve to go down for their treatment of him, if it hadn't been for his purple patch towards the end of his reign they would have been relegated weeks ago.
beatlesaint Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 If someone had told me last August we would be going into the last match with a chance of finishing 5th, albeit a slim one, well I would have laughed long and hard !
Chalkboy Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 I doubt poor palace will get much talk here, even though they were truly superb. This is what happens when you have a sky channel full of scousers, utter trash. They've got Liverpool FC TV, so ****ing use that. We don't care. Jim Beglin had the audacity to suggest that the reason Liverpool lost was because they were overcome by the occasion.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 So, if we win next week, Spurs draw, Liverpool lose by 6 and Villa win the cup... no Europe for Liverpool! They are top of the fair play league so would get in that way in any event!
Saint_Tony Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 Obviously it was an emotional day with the legend Stevie G playing his last game, otherwise they would have won, eh Brendan?
S-Clarke Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 Thank **** that is over. What a load of over-emotional clap trap. Not even a word for Palace, not even a word. Sickening.
SuperMikey Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 I particularly enjoyed all the pundits today going on about his loyalty, commitment to Liverpool and the fact that you don't really see "one-club players" like Gerrard anymore. ....this is the same Gerrard that's going to play for LA Galaxy after his contract's up right?
Whitey Grandad Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 Jim Beglin had the audacity to suggest that the reason Liverpool lost was because they were overcome by the occasion. Yeah, they've not had many big occasions so it's not surprising they were overcome.
Dr Who? Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 IF Swansea fail to win tomorrow, we really can just go out a City with everything to gain and nothing to lose (unless Villa win the cup). Perhaps we could get the point to end above Spurs. So the cup final will not matter!
Gorgiesaint Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 And it's not like it's his last game for the club.... it's his last home game. Can they drag it out another week?
Crazy Diamond Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 Thank **** that is over. What a load of over-emotional clap trap. Not even a word for Palace, not even a word. Sickening. My thoughts exactly. Their first ever double over Liverpool and it didn't even merit a mention. Bolasie tore them apart, can see him going to a club higher up the food chain soon.
The Cat Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 My thoughts exactly. Their first ever double over Liverpool and it didn't even merit a mention. Bolasie tore them apart, can see him going to a club higher up the food chain soon. I'd love him here. Imagine him and Mane on either wing *drools*
Saint_clark Posted 16 May, 2015 Posted 16 May, 2015 I'd love him here. Imagine him and Mane on either wing *drools* Pelle, rodriguez, mane, long, bolasie, austin, tadic...gonna be overloaded for those top three positions at this rate!
S-Clarke Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Bit of a blow for Swansea not having Ki available, he's been v important in their midfield.
igsey Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 £31.8m for Mangala?! Nearly gave Swansea an easy goal if Dyer could beat Hart one-on-one.
The Cat Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 A bit lucky with the deflection there, but we'll take it.
ScepticalStan Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Looks like the hysterical panic about Swansea catching us is over and done with.
Saint Charlie Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Looks like the hysterical panic about Swansea catching us is over and done with. Good that they are losing, but they are good enough to come back and win.
richard Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 City win and a United win please! That way City can't be caught by Arsenal and City's match against us means nothing to them.
simo Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Well 7th guaranteed IMO now let's push for 5th next weekend
Saint_Tony Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 That'll do, can't see us getting anything next week but you'd have to fancy Arsenal to do a job on Villa.
John Boy Saint Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 What's with the City kit Blue front Purple back? it's like some colour psychologist has had a hand in it: "well it upsets the balance of the oppositions brain" sort of thing.
Batman Posted 17 May, 2015 Author Posted 17 May, 2015 ffs, have city in my accy. Hanging on a little here
Saint_Tony Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Draw will be fine anyway. Fairplay to Swansea though, a great season for them.
richard Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 Draw will be fine anyway. Fairplay to Swansea though, a great season for them. Can we stop the commentator's curses now please? Still 30 minutes to play, anything could happen.
mcjwills Posted 17 May, 2015 Posted 17 May, 2015 What's with the City kit Blue front Purple back? it's like some colour psychologist has had a hand in it: "well it upsets the balance of the oppositions brain" sort of thing. Heard they have made an offer for Dr Barry Gale
