The9 Posted 21 May, 2015 Share Posted 21 May, 2015 It's ok. Not sure about the collar or the Adidas badge in the middle of the shirt but they're minor things. I certainly prefer it to any of the previous 3 home shirts. I'm actually looking forward to the away shirt more than this. It's green with a navy sash, in case anyone hadn't seen... BlakeySFC Posted 22 May, 2015 Share Posted 22 May, 2015 Guarantee there'll be some coming on here after the Green away shirt is shown going "was hoping for yellow and blue" even though they were shown the templates a few months back, guaranteed, some are so deluded. alpine_saint Posted 22 May, 2015 Share Posted 22 May, 2015 This green away shirt. much as I actually like it, are Sky not going to have a moan about this causing cameramen and viewers problems in picking up our players ? Also, are we going to have Souness-era "we cant see our own players in grey shirts" Manyoo problems in games ?

Perhaps that's why Plymouth are in League Two...someone ought to let them know they should change their historic shirt colour.
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 22 May, 2015 Share Posted 22 May, 2015 It's green with a navy sash, in case anyone hadn't seen... Yep. Not too sure about Green & Navy but I'm not going to complain as I've been saying we should have a green away shirt for years and now we're getting one :-). Nolan Posted 22 May, 2015 Share Posted 22 May, 2015 Obviously the green and blue is to represent the New Forest and the Solent, just like our badge.

Tbf, you were stating it was "100% NOT going to be adidas" when some of us already knew it was 100% going to be adidas, so...and was it you who was equally sure it wasn't going to be Veho too? Dunno why, imo, we would want to represent the New Forest or even the Solent with the kit as this football club represents our city - more likely to represent the city parks and Southampton Water if that were the case. The9 Posted 22 May, 2015 Share Posted 22 May, 2015 Or the influence of Paul Allen and Microsoft... still waiting to hear where that one came from and the validity of it.
Saxon Posted 22 May, 2015 Share Posted 22 May, 2015 Any idea if they'll reveal the away kit at our last match? Either by wearing it or otherwise?
The9 Posted 22 May, 2015 Share Posted 22 May, 2015 Any idea if they'll reveal the away kit at our last match? Either by wearing it or otherwise? Doubt it, rumour has it they only have one of the home shirts at the moment, never mind the away shirt which will probably not be on sale until the end of July. doggface Posted 22 May, 2015 Share Posted 22 May, 2015 Or the influence of Paul Allen and Microsoft... still waiting to hear where that one came from and the validity of it. Speculation on that came from the source who leaked the buyers guide for the Home & Away kits to www.liveforfootballshirts.com. They said that the Green away kit was a part of a North American partnership the club had signed. Gave hints that this partnership was linked to Americans previously interested with buying the club in the past. Paul Allen+Green&Blue (though a darker shade?)=Seattle Seahawks? Despite the media frenzy, the Paul Allen thing was never substantiated from what I know. This source was obviously right on the kits. No doubt we have been looking at opportunities in North America but all sound's a bit elaborate to me.

It was obviously a weird way around to have the "relationship", as you say, never seen anything to support it. Anyway, lets keep the away kit stuff to here: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?52052-The-Long-Overdue-Pointless-2015-16-(Adidas)-Kit-Thread#.VV8_Vk_BzGc

Actually, I was 100% stating last years shirt WAS going to be adidas and then it turned out it was own-brand, I got some bad info there, held my hands up and admitted it, will probably never give out any info I receive on here (if I had any to give) in the future now. This isn't about being ITK or not though, I have no info at all about the away shirt, its just an open-secret what the shirts will look like, anyone who finds those templates, realises they're almost definitely authentic will know that's what the shirts are going to look like, hoping for anything else is, quite frankly, pointless at this stage, let's not kid ourselves. Pretty sure I said nothing of the sort about Veho apart from hoping it was a bigger company and not having a clue who Veho were when it was announced as well...think you may have be confused with another. EBS1980 Posted 23 May, 2015 Share Posted 23 May, 2015 If it is green and blue it'll be interesting to hear the reason behind the colours. If it is a link up with an American team I wonder if they will announce that first. Also I hope that team takes our red and white in return too.
