Sergei Gotsmanov Posted 15 May, 2015 Posted 15 May, 2015 Rarely agreed with him but he was always articulate when arguing that bears don't **** in the woods. Lets hope his forum absence is short term and he can use his time away for a period of contemplation and a hair cut. I concluded he was alright.
iansums Posted 15 May, 2015 Posted 15 May, 2015 Quite glad to see the back of him TBH, always wanted to lecture people. And he needs bloody haircut.

I'm not intending to, and I wasn't joking about him joining us because it always breaks down barriers. I don't like people being picked on, not a nice feeling. Pap pushes it, but this was just an odd scenario as nothing that extreme seemed to have happened. But I'm glad you're sticking up for Batman.

Wade Garrett Posted 15 May, 2015 Posted 15 May, 2015 This is getting like George Orwell's 1984. Pap is Boxer, the horse sent to the glue factory by Steve Grant.

You're mixing your Orwell references, Wade Garrett. Boxer is from Animal Farm, but your 1984 reference is much better; with pap as Winston Smith finding himself persecuted by the Thought Police. Anyway in animal farm, pap would be Snowball - who got an ice pick that made his ears burn.

CB Fry Posted 15 May, 2015 Posted 15 May, 2015 Just call me Douglas Carswell. I defected to Papsweb, posted something I genuinely thought and still think is hilarious. Apropos of nothing, bish bosh bathos. Effing forum comedy gold. Now, on reflection it was probably on the impenetrable side of dry. Landlord Pap didn't get it and he replied genuinely which makes me feel sad. I honestly thought he might guess it was me. Oh well, good luck with Papsweb, Pap. This site won't be the same without him.

In the Forum-wars, I think pap's pre-contract signing up of Toke and The Bear is genius It's like when BT outbid Sky for the Champions' League rights. Well actually, it's more like when Radio Morecambe Online outbid Morecambe FM for the rights to cover the 2014-2015 Donkey Derby, before silently sliding into the oblivion of liquidation. No offence Toke/Bear/Pap. I give it two months before they come crawling back with Bear's tail between Toke's legs. Personally I think there is room for both Radio Morecambe Online and Morecambe FM. I think pap is planning on creating a communist idyll away from this place, set in a sea of socialism where the frothing foam of fascism never reaches. Watch him ban any posters who are politically to the right of Left Unity. Anyway, CB Fry, you can't deflect to papsweb, you'd be missed here too much.
