If he was then they have the effect of making him look a bit of a pikey, rather than making anyone envious in any way. Maybe just showing my age. I'd doubt that many top flight footballers wear cheap clothes, well apart from our home made training kit that is. some of it may look cheap, then again you just have to remember what Dolly said.
