CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 3 May, 2015 Share Posted 3 May, 2015 Paper talk from a not very good paper, but this transfer rumour is on the face of it consistent with club policy re seeking a young (Nyland is 24 years old) keeper to cover for FF. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/southamptons-transfer-molde-keeper-orjan-5626924

When Forster gets back to full fitness we will then have two relatively young keepers and both ambitious.

Not a stop gap, someone young and who is totally good enough to come in and start for us. Rated as one of the best GK prospects in world football, and Norway's best prospect for a long time. I hope it's true.

Hope he's a better "prospect" than our last signing from Molde who was also linked with a move to Merseyside for some time before jumped in ahead of them and 'snapped him up'. DT Posted 5 May, 2015 Share Posted 5 May, 2015 Very much hope this is true. The KD instability cannot go on. (anyone notice his dives for those penalties? Have rarely seen slower/less agile.

Turkish Posted 5 May, 2015 Share Posted 5 May, 2015 Any of our resident ITK's heard about this one? Yeah heard about this one a couple of weeks ago. We sent scouts to watch him 6 times last season, comes highly rated and our goalkeeping coach is a big fan. I can also reveal that Koeman was out of the country on Sunday making a personal check on a target after a recommendation from one of our large network of scouts. Watch this space... DatSaint Posted 5 May, 2015 Share Posted 5 May, 2015 The scouts were probably looking at Vegard Forren again.... No but seriously...I hope they noticed Mohamed Elyounoussi. Really exiting player. Ørjan Nyland wouldnt be a bad choice at all.

Saint Pete Posted 5 May, 2015 Share Posted 5 May, 2015 If true, glad we are looking at a potential permanent GK signing rather than a loan. However a word of caution on the potential reliability of the story: the Mirror are also saying that Chelsea are weighing up a move for Rickie Lambert!
