miserableoldgit Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Happy New Year to al of you miserable bastards out there!! 2008 has been a crap year for Saints supporters. Lets just hope that 2009 may be a BIT better! We are all Saints supporters after all.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Happy New Year to all! Here's hoping 2009 will be a vast improvement on 2008 for Saints. Rupert Lowe leaving the club would be a start...
Seaford Saint Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Yep let us hope all our dreams come true. World peace and Saints surviving in the championship
miserableoldgit Posted 1 January, 2009 Author Posted 1 January, 2009 Yep let us hope all our dreams come true. World peace and Saints surviving in the championship I do wonder which is most likely!
St_Tel49 Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Just tottered back from my local. Can I also wish each and every Saints supporter a Happy New Year - including those I disagree with. I know we all have Saints best interests at heart ;-)
SFC Forever Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Happy New Year to all on Saints Web from the few on ohwhenthesaints.net. If there is ever going to be a unified protest against the board. Or preferably in a bid to save our club. Rest assured that members on the other site would welcome the chance to join in. Not everyone admitted but a few of us would happily entertain the idea. It might be an idea for someone to visit all Saints fans forums where worthwhile to garner extra bodies as I feel all are losing patience. Whatever happens we are all Sainys supporters in the end. If something is going to be organised we need every Tom,**** and Harry to know. Anyway that is in the future so for now HAPPY NEW YEAR to all.

dubai_phil Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Right, we had our "sombre New Year celebrations" here in Dubai and may that be the last time this year that such a mood prevails. (Mind you was still a good night out!) Let's hope we get through January without too much devastation in both the club and the world economy and have a good 2009. Happy New Year one and all
Fan The Flames Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Happy New Year to all who sail in the good ship Southampton FC. I hope 2009 is a calm harbour.
Jesus Reigned Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Happy New Year all; I can only hope that 2009 ends with Saints still being in The Championship and me still having a job, but at this moment at least one of these is highly unlikely..
SaintRobbie Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Happy New Year to all Charlton, Doncaster, Forest and Norwich fans. (Now please can you do us a favour and be really bad for the rest of the season... you are now our only chance to avoid relegation.)
St Landrew Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Happy New Year to al of you miserable bastards out there!! 2008 has been a crap year for Saints supporters. Lets just hope that 2009 may be a BIT better! We are all Saints supporters after all. I'm sorry, but hope has delivered f**k all in the last 5 years. Happy New Year, btw.
eelpie Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Any of these guys (reportedly being offered for Championship experience)? I would love to see Bedntner (who Arsenal seem not to want)upfront, but he might be sold rather than return to the CCC on loan again. Lacking a predatory striker is where we are most disastrously weak. Arsenal: 'A number of younger players such as Gavin Hoyte, Kieran Gibbs and Jay Simpson are set for loan spells in the Championship and Godwin believes midfielder Alex Song might go out on loan.' Bolton: Joey O'Brien and Danny ****tu Chelsea: Scott Sinclair Manchester City: 'Midfielder Elano has fallen out of favour with Hughes and would be allowed to leave - on loan if necessary. Fellow Brazilian Jo could also be farmed out to try to gain some confidence.' Manchester United: 'Foster needs first-team football to enhance his England prospects' Sunderland 'With an enormous squad it is expected there will be some exits - both on loan and permanently' from http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/nottm_forest/7805993.stm Anyone know of any other Premiership players being offered for loan?
eelpie Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Happy New Year to everyone (yes everyone)! And may we all get what we want.

Cascadia Saint Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 what's wrong with the word co ck in the context of a pub?
St Marco Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Happy New Year Peeps. I almost got killed at a party when someones stove exploded last night! (they had a power cut....) so great start to the new year! Lets hope the luck continues and 2008 was the last doom and gloom year for the Saints! Can only hope cant we!
miserableoldgit Posted 1 January, 2009 Author Posted 1 January, 2009 I'm sorry, but hope has delivered f**k all in the last 5 years. Happy New Year, btw. So "hope" has done no worse than anything else then!!
St Landrew Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 So "hope" has done no worse than anything else then!! That's true. I suppose it's good that people can keep their humour amongst a disastrous last 5 years. HNY to you MOG.

Hoyte has gone to Watford and Simpson to WBA ! Not much chance of the others IMO too !
ExSt Peter Saint Posted 1 January, 2009 Posted 1 January, 2009 Happy New Year everyone. I slept through most of today and let's hope Saints recovery in 09 is as good as mine was today - feel fresh as a daisy now :-))
