I thought it was generally observed but too many people emerging from concourses made it a bit average in terms of "silence".

I'm stood in the Northam/Kingsland Corner and plenty were shooshing others...

I think the only solution is tannoy in concourses telling folk to be quiet.

The Bradford disaster deserved silence...

There was an amazing amount of people in Northam walking up the isles which was a total disrespect. Yes the traffic was bad but ffs stand and observe the silence.

Apart from those few fans who did that around the ground I thought it was well observed. But sadly not perfect

The club could do with putting speakers outside the turnstiles to relay information like this, the queues outside were large right on kick-off and many were entering the stadium totally unaware of the minute's silence. Traffic was particular bad getting into the city on Saturday, probably due to the early start mixing with shoppers driving in at that time of day.

If i'm honest i found it a bit odd. The anniversary isn't till the 11th of may and there's another two rounds of fixtures between now and then.

It was Bradford's last home game of the season. Makes sense really.

No excuse. I know that SMS isn't the noisiest ground in the country but even somebody totally unaware on arrival that a minutes silence is happening would immediately notice the lack of usual hubbub of pre-match anticipatory buzz, not to mention one quick glance at the pitch to see both teams lined up and stationary.

Well, I'm afraid you're wrong. Fans outside and coming through the turnstiles into the concourse are mostly still unaware until they walk out pitchside or into the seats. That "pre-match anticipatory buzz" is still going on with the 'unaware' and when you've got deftly quiet inside that anticipatory buzz outside just comes through. People quickly quieten down once they realise.

I would also class taking photographs because some view it as an opportune moment as lacking in taste and respect. A minute's silence for me is stood up, bowed head, hands behind back, in silence. Not 'oh look at that, the players have joined arms, I'll get my phone out for a picture'.

Exactly this. Stepping from the pub and into the giant queue outside the Kingsland shortly before kick-off, everyone is oblivious.
