Oh, sorry, that was last year's start line up away at Sunderland.

Hmmm, OK, I'll stick with Fonte, however, everyone else must go..

------------K. Davis--------------

Clyne--Fonte--Yoshida--Bertrand

----Wanyama----Alderwiereld----

When you put it like that, you realise how much we have changed!

Hope we can smash em on Saturday just like we did at St Mary's

also hope QPR and WBA can overturn the odds to get results too to give us hope of catching Utd

Think Arsenal have a big part to play in this yet as they are not only in the FA cup final but and have to play Utd too and Liverpool have to play Chelsea

would be great if the scousers finish 7th and Villa win the cup, the dream scenario for me or would you prefer the spuds to finish 7th?

Read something today which said that Jose, Toby, Morgan and Vic have only played 10 games for us together this season. Ridiculous. Wonder how often we've had our best back 7 out......(Forster, Clyne, Fonte Alderweireld, Bertrand, Morgan, Wanyama)

Wow Saint Tex that really hits home when you see the difference in the teams, incredible! Would never have thought it. Thank god we don't change like that!

Poch doesn't really favour the Europa, and Liverpool love their "famous European nights at Anfield" so the best result would be us 5th, Spurs 6th, Liverpool 7th and Villa winning the cup.

Tonight, I appeared on 103.4 Sun FM's 'Into The Light', a show aired on a Thursday evening for an hour, talking about everything Sunderland-related.

I spoke to former Sunderland striker Michael Proctor and Richard Mason of The Northern Echo, ahead of Southampton's trip to Sunderland this weekend.

I was invited onto the show to preview Saturday's game, as well as talk youth development, Pochettino and those who defected, Koeman, the 'Director of Football' concept and a couple of other bits and bobs about Saints.

If you want to give that a listen, I'm on from 12:08: http://www.sun-fm.com/of-into-the-light-with-michael-proctor-.php

At risk of abuse/mick-taking... feedback welcome. :)

Sunderland 0-8 Southampton

Vergini og, Vergini og, Vergini og (hattrick), Brown og, O'Shea og, Fletcher og, Cattermole og, Kelvin Davis.

Naw, I predict a much tougher game than the 8-0 but one that we really should still be winning. But they will fight, and they need to. I so want us to win this but I can see a draw. We have more quality, let's just hope it shines through.

That would be a game for the ages.

I want to skip Europa qualifying so if Villa win the cup we need to finish 5th.

on current form would probably only have boruc morgan and Rodriguez in for this game from that team

This is a match we should walk all over them, but I fear Koeman's going to select a team that will give them Premier League survival on a plate.

I reckon Super Kelv will be super up for this one, going back to his old club. I know a couple of Sunderland fans that reckoned he "couldn't catch a cold". Motivation.

I would play Alderweireld as CB and bring reed in.

This but we know he'll go with experience and play Maya

I know we have to be careful talking about Adam Johnson, but someone who has been been charged with three offences of sexual activity with a child under 16 and one of grooming really shouldn't be included in the squad and should be put on gardening leave until cleared or otherwise. I think that the situation that Sunderland find themselves in in the league has clouded their judgement on what the right thing should be and is a sad indictment of modern day football. When Dave Jones faced nine charges related to sex offences and ill treatment of children he was put on gardening leave until his name was cleared (but then of course we did the dirty on him). Disappointing by Sunderland that their priorities are wholly misplaced.

Well the argument is innocent until proven guilty, should he be convicted then I guess the dynamics of the situation change. Personally I am not convinced him playing helps Sunderland - whilst he may find some joy in playing to escape all of the attention (well, as much as opposition fans afford him...) I don't think he can really play to the best of his ability with that hanging over him (without wishing to now jinx us ahead of tomorrow!).

Anyone know if we'll play in yellow or blue tomorrow?

Blue - the yellow kit was only brought in because our blue kit would (apparently) clash with Newcastle's home shirt.

Not a great place to go for us but 3 points would be damn handy today with the scousers home to QPR. Spurs home tomorrow too, albeit Man City. Think a Leicester win today maybe good for next weekend, hopefully a bit of apathy may set in thinking they're safe...

Anyone know how many coaches the club put on today, would guess we'll take around 1,200 or so?

Adam Johnson returns to the squad - will be interesting to see what reception both sets of fans give him if he gets on...

I was surprised he was included. The whole 'innocent until proven guilty' argument will rage on, but there are sensitivities needing to be addressed and with football being a highly emotive subject already, it doesn't need another firework to be lit up its a$$. Don't need another potential Ched Evans...

Too controversial?

Tadic has a groin injury according to The Mail, Djuricic - ankle.

Yeah, same re Tadic in the Guardian report. Didn't know about Djuricic... I feel slightly out of the loop here! Anyone else I've missed? Is Channon still available? :adore:

Ah well.

Ah well.

Away at Goodwood today I would imagine.

Djuricic has been out injured for past 3 weeks, Koeman reported Tadic had a groan injury during press conference and it was posted on here.
